Minecraft Username: lolelf123 Reason: Inappropriate Language and PM Harrasment to the user Falconaire (located in this complaint -- http://ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/user-complaint-lolelf123.86326/), banned by Dewsy92 Counter-Reason: Let me take a few minutes to talk upon my ban. Both falconaire and I were/(maybe not "are" for falconaire) and hopefully always will be friends for the foreseeable future. Today, was not an exception to use inappropriate language, or harass falconaire in this rude, inhumane, and highly unnecessary way. In no way did he deserve this evil wrongdoing of me, and I shouldn't have "blown off my steam" on him. In game, I had tried to talk with falconaire about my language and harassment, but he had /ignore'd me, meaning I could not get ahold of him, and speak with him. I tried asking blowtube123, and MCHelix3000 to Private Message falconaire and ask him to un-ignore me. I do not believe that he did, and I would do the same if this type of situation would have occurred with me. Falconaire, I am very, truly sorry for the harrasmment. Again, you did not deserve this, and you shouldn't have been treated in such an inhumane way. Please hear me out falconaire. I hope I can be with you again and we can be friends again. Thank you, lolelf123. I have scanned the ECC rules, and found which rule I have broken, located below. I have since printed this out, and taped it onto my computer monitor so that this issue does not appear again. Inappropriate and vulgar language is not allowed. This includes anything put on signs, said in chat, written in books, renamed to on items (see Section 3 Clause 2.1), spelt out in blocks, or any other way of communicating. Occasional mild to moderate vulgarities that are not directed at anyone (such as "slip-ups" or saying them in the incorrect chat by accident), self-censorship of a swear word or abbreviations that may imply a swear word (ie. WTF?) are allowed. Repeated or excessive swearing, and especially vulgar language directed at anyone, is not tolerated under any circumstance. Racist language of any sort falls under the vulgarity rule, and is considered a very serious offence, punishment of which may not warrant a warning before being given. Evidence: N/A
I find it funny that a guy who reports people for saying one thing even as a typo or wc gets banned for this. I have been a witness to the unpleasantness in global and hope that lolelf123 is sincere in his apology... as I have reported (and been reported) for this very issue.
Hello, Thank you for taking the time to file a ban appeal. You are indeed banned for the reasons you list above, which I thank you for being specific and including the entire list. The rules you violated today are very serious here on ECC. The staff team does its best job to enforce these kinds of rule in all chats, but abusing the private message system to do this is very rude. As you highlighted in your appeal above, the excessive swearing that you displayed is 110% against the rules. Never should this type of language appear in any chats on this server and especially not directed at another player. In addition, you were again abusing the rights of pm by talking in all CAPS. I can only imagine how annoying this could have been for Falconaire while he had to deal with it. Furthermore, throughout this morning, many players had been annoyed with your actions: shouting inappropriate things, raging at users and a few other things that brought warnings upon you. You should have taken the hint that ECC was starting to get a little fed up with your actions and just taken some time off of the server. This incident pushed everything way over the top; and, in light of the mornings events, I hope that this ban didn't surprise you. ECC is a wonderful community to members who add a positive vibe to its user base, I suggest you correct your actions soon and maybe this community will forgive you. After taking a look at your history, and knowing your in game actions, I have decided to give you a 16 hour temp-ban. During this time, I wish for you to calm down and collect yourself. Your recent actions have been gone way too far to go unnoticed. Staff team, and all of ECC, will be keeping an eye on you now in case you ever start acting this way again. This kind of behavior, as mentioned before, is completely unacceptable on ECC and your consequences to these actions will only become stricter over time.
