Me navy and another special user who we all miss play dayz standalone together. Usually get some pretty good gear before somebody dies. Last night when we were playing when a friend of ours died and spawned near the airfield near krasnostav. After we got there and gave him a sks we searched the airfield. I then turn around inside the hangars and there was two guys running in with an sks/mosin. Don't know how i did it but i managed to kill both of them after i got shot and was given a fractured wound in the arm and leg. Best moment ever after my 50 hours of playing. I give the game 10/10, would die again.
Haha yes, moments like that are the best. My best moment was by far when my friend and I were in one of the apartment buildings in berezino and we were trapped by a small clan of about 4 people I managed to kill 2 of the guys, but unfortunately my friend glitched through a window and fell to his death.
I have it, but I don't really like it... It runs slow on my PC, I need a new GPU before I'd consider playing it again, and I won't be getting one for a while... Waste of $30 IMO.
Bump A new update was announced to come out sometime soon with a few new items. Boars/pigs and deers will be added, along with campfires ( to cook meat and to warm you up which removes the "soaked" status), a new pistol that has a sniper scope attached to it (don't know the exact term for it), the akm (ak-47), and a few new buildings. Really excited for the next update. I haven't played in awhile, but im planning on searching like crazy once that new pistol is implemented. For a story as to why I haven't played in abit... I had one of my longest lives (managed to make it back to shore to pick up friends and go all the way back to the airfield two times) before navy decided it was a good idea to shoot around me for no reason. I believe the bullets either bounced off the surface of the wall, or he just wanted me dead. I ended up dieing and respawning at the coastline. The next day i worked on getting back up to the airfield and getting a gun, ended up with a crossbow by the time i got there. Figured that i'd forgive him for shooting me and ran up to him playing tiny tims living in the sunshine. Him and another friend instantly starting shooting at me, didn't even realize it was me. Once i was bleeding beyond all control i managed to tell navy who I was.....before I shot navy straight in the chest with a crossbow bolt. He turned around and shot me once and I died. Tl;dr Navy is a bully and killed me twice.
Game is complete thrash. Waste of $30 I still play the mod though. I'll give it a year then try again.
I don't know, I like the standalone... It's just not optimized at all. I feel like I have to be drunk to figure out the damn controls in the mod.
Yeah, I got it thinking it would be awesome. I think it takes way too long to get anywhere and even then, its too easy to die. I like the concept but I think it couldve been executed better. I keep watching it though. Right now, 6.5/10
