Spleef Saturday Tournament! When: Saturday, November 14th We're hosting a Swiss-Style Spleef tournament on Saturday November 14th starting at 3PM EST. Hosting this Swiss-Style means everyone who signs up will play 4 matches. Every round, the winning player of each match will earn 1 point. After each round, matchups will be decided by point score. After 4 rounds, everyone with the highest score wins the grand prize! What's the Grand Prize? The Lobby Supporter Package and the Event Medal! Everyone else gets $5000 for every point they earned! Where: TBA We'd like to spotlight some community towns and community builds, so we'd like to ask if anyone would like to host rounds of the tournament! If you're interested shoot me a forum PM! There only preference I have on size or shape is that the area be rectangular or square. (Please note that if you don't want people having perms to your entire town for this, that's 100% OK, we can work with that) How: Sign Up Here! For matchup purposes we will be requiring sign ups in advance. However there is no entry fee for this, and you need not even bring your own shovel. Just post your IGN as well as this exact phrase: "I agree to the rules and to be a good sport." Deadline for signups is November 14th, 1PM EST. Rules: Simple. Games will be played with no fly, no use of /j, no use of /speed, nothing that's obviously cheating. You get one "foul" with this. After the foul, use of these will be counted as a loss for that matchup. Be a good sport! Poor sportsmanship will result in a DQ at referee's discretion and possibly a server ban depending on the severity. To put this honestly, everyone here knows what they should and shouldn't do. There shouldn't be any issues, and if you cause, don't expect to stick around. Scoring: If a player falls, they lose the match, and their opponent scores 1 point. If a point is reached where players cannot continue the game (such as a space too large to jump), the match will be reset one time. If the same outcome is reached, the player with the most reachable blocks on their side will be awarded the point. Thanks to @obblebobble for the wonderful graphic!
Questions; Can we still bring our own shovel? If so, can it be enchanted? Clarification would be appreciated Also, is creating "islands" legal? Even though the most reachable blocks rule exists, can people still create islands and seclude themselves from the rest of the game?
Good luck to everyone who enter If your looking for a small arena and you can sort out permissions so people can break the rest of the town. I'd be interested in you guys using the HeadMuseum Lemme know @Nicit6 via pm or something if we can work something out if needed.
