[Suggestion] One-Time World Edit

±0. This would be great, as it would probably increase the demand for the tower. On the other hand, though, like other people have said, what about all the other scams that have occurred? And also, why can't you just have the town it's already in? I'm on the fence here.

i think the reason or at least why i feel staff has been so involved with this particular scam is because he was given a moderating position, which basiaclly tells people to trust them. As he was a scammer it ruins all of staffs prestiege as the ones to always trust. We can see from this incident we can't really trust anyone.....

 

Nothing happened for the accusolhd scams, the giant_leader scams, the kconahan scams, the only thing special about this is that the person was a mod.

This is a good idea, but it doesn't need any special treatment because it is just like any other scam; betrayed trust.
I say there's enough money coming in to the fund that this isn't needed.

The money from andrew was a blessing that will probably never happen again. There doesn't need to be any other special treatment, this isn't the first mass scamming on ecc.

Interesting suggestion with the right idea, but I'm not going to give it support.

As said above, why can't this be done with every other scam? Your charity event is awesome, don't get me wrong, but why didn't this happen with the Giant_Leader scams and the like?

Why can't you just build it somewhere else and put the monetary funds into the charity event? Although it would take time, it is much better and fair to all others who were scammed.

I just can't support this suggestion because it isn't fair to everyone else.

Ok, let's go through the points.
1. IIRC the amount scammed by willclo surpassed giant_leader, and had a huge cost to the server.
2. It was a mod who scammed, not just some regular player.
3. Imagine how much work it took to build that skyscraper, and the amount of money someone would pay for that.

 

I have the exact same house as someone else, and mine burns down. The other guy committed fraud. I should get his house then.

 

Your house gotten burned down. Has nothing to do with the fraud the other guy committed.

If you create this as a special circumstance, then every scammer should have this treatment.
This isnt the first time a mod commited paypal fraud and last time it happened, i am pretty sure no one got reimbursed.
You guys are insanely lucky that you are getting anything back at all.
But i will be -1ing this on the basis of this should be treated like all other scammed situations. Do i think its right? no, do i think a suggestion should b implemented to helped scammed victims? Yes, but they are all denied currently.

Ok, lets forget the scammer part. Now imagine how much work was put into that skyscraper. Personally it'd be a shame to see it torn down, which I don't want....

 

People can still buy the town, they will be getting original owner status on the town.
Thats worth at least 200k+ to a president, as its a extra town essentially.

And im sure others have town claimed towns that were in a worse state then the current state of this town.
So i dont see that as a reason to make it a one time world edit.

 

Well, there's a reason why he suggested it. Because there's two ways of making money off of it. One the tower, and two the actual town.

I agree with what was posted above.
There has been multiple major scams on ECC and those guys were left with no payback or anything.
Also I don't believe you should really use this reason for a one time world edit..
If someone wants to buy this tower, let them buy it and then build around it. There's no need for a world edit to take place.
Also from what I read , you guys reached the funds needed?
