WELCOME​

Hello ladies and gentlemen and welcome to the fourth edition of the ECC blog! *Bows for applause* I know that you all enjoyed the last edition were I featured a town and a build that were submitted to me on the forums but like I already said I need to split up the featuring editions from the announcement/writing piece editions to help reduce length. Do not despair though! I will be continuing both types of editions. Also I would like to tell you all that I have decided to continue writing my builder memoirs (my decision was influenced by your opinions in the second edition’s poll). My memoirs will be out at some point but I’m really juts writing that as a fun and nostalgic side project. Any way I know that you are all eager for me to get on with this edition so I won’t tally any longer. ​

STAFF APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN​

Yes ECC, staff applications are once again open so get you name in the hat as soon as you can before it closes! Fame and power is just an application away! However with staff apps we have a magical phenomenon that happens every time and sometimes gets on my nerves. When staff apps are out people are suddenly super friendly and helpful to all the new users that appear on ECC. Now I’m going to try to not make this into a rant and to showcase the two sides of this situation.​

Ok, so if I was I new play joining the server I would be so happy to be lucky enough to join when staff apps would be out. I mean its ridiculous how normally a new player asks for help and ends up getting completely ignored by non-staff users, but when that special time comes around all you need to do is to as one question in global and the entire populous of the server jumps to attention and will help you with your every step. PEOPLE! When staff apps are out they are looking for those people who help out other players on daily basis. Suddenly helping people when apps are out and then stopping when they’re done is not the way to be a member of the server who is staff material. Now don’t get me wrong, I think it’s great that everyone starts helping out because it benefits the new players. Just make sure that when you’re helping out people that you’re doing it for the right reasons.​

DO HORSES HAVE A PLACE ON ECC?​

This question I believe is controversial because of how awesome horses are but how completely useless they are also. I personally think that horses are really cool and I really need to but a horse egg, however I think that they are completely pointless. In reality when these magnificent pixely creatures should be roaming fields of participating in races they are contained in boxes to stop “dem horse rustlers” from stealing them. I would really like to see there be more horse racing and what not and maybe hold formal races where bets are involved. I really think that this would be fun. There could maybe even be horseback pvp considering that horses cannot be killed it would be just a different way to spice up an old minecraft sport. Just image riding into the arena sporting a bow and swords atop your trusty steed ready to spill the pixels for your enemy. I think horses do have a lot of potential but someone needs to realize that potential (hint hint somebody should do this). Post your opinions in the comments below.​
