Not sure if anyone else has had this trouble or been playing around with the new patch but....
I can't find a village on a map to save my life.
I wanted to test out the villager trading etc and also the direct connect feature/tp'ing etc and everything has worked fine except finding a village since generating new maps with 1.3.1. People offer seeds of spawns near villages but they all seem to be from 1.2.5. I had a map with a spawn near a village from that patch but for the same of finding rare emeralds etc I wanted to start fresh on single players with 1.3.1. I have explored large sections of roughly 9 random maps now (you can change to creative mode to fly and look around and then back to survival if god forbid you find a village) and even with flying so I don't walk past a village, can't find one. I have found jungle temple, desert water well, dungeon rooms oddly exposed on the surface of deserts, slightly filled in by sand. Anyone else made a new map on the new patch and been able to find a village? Is it just really terrible luck? My buddy chazmeister13 has tried a few also with no luck.

Maybe Mojang decreased the spawn rate of the villages? :?
by the way, have you checked the option "Generate structures?" -
Ya I made sure its checked as on, if it wasn't on I would not of seen the desert artisan well or jungle temple. Its good to know I am not the only one having trouble finding them. I think they might of dropped their spawn rate due to so many people saying the trading is really unbalanced so they don't want you to live in a hut between 2 villages getting wild amounts via an easy trade maybe?
On the map you found a village was it a default type? Of seeds I have read about I saw someone claiming to have villages but it was a large biome or super flat, I just want a regular default map with a bloody village. -

No it was a map generated after the pre-realese. Il generate a new one once i get a chance and il let you know

MUST work on super flat and you will spawn next to a village, tested and never failed.
and has to have generate structures on or it will not work -
On my 8th map I started playing and said screw villages but lo and behold I did find a desert temple and then a village near it and another village not far from that. Now my issue is the villagers don't have multiple trade options and I have no idea how to make them breed. Anyone good at making the creepey villagers get it on?
