Moved to off-topic.
Whenever I encounter a problem with my iPhone/ iPod, I hold down the power button and the home button for 10 seconds. Always fixes my problems.
What this does is basically force-restarts it. It should boot back up. -

Oh. You mean physically stuck!
Well, use tweezers, a needle, or a paper clip to try and force it back into place. Make sure you don't prop open the case or more problems will occur..
If nothing works.. Christmas is in a few weeks. :p -

Wiggle it, if possible? Something might be stuck in their (crumbs...) or if you often have sticky fingers, it may be stuck due to gooey stuff. :/ Wiggling it may loosen whatever is in there, but it could take a while of fiddling. I suggest gently using a toothpick to lightly pry it/move it around. If you can find anything thinner than a toothpick (like..paper thin, or close), that may work better.
If it is like...locked down and stuck, I suggest you go somewhere to get it fixed--otherwise, you might break it. :b Forcing it out of a stuck position may snap or break something, but if it's a food or substance kinda sticky-stuck, you may be able to get it yourself. -

You might try using some electronic grade oil on it and placing it in a warm area. That might give it a chance to slowly unstick itself.

you can do all that and try doing this too, bump it a little with your hand and if that fails go to THE APPLE STORE

If you dont care about warranty, pop the cover and push the power button out from the other side

Try getting a android phone the power button never get stucks.

Spray some lubricant such as Wd-40 or Syl-Glide into the power button slot, around the edges. These lubricants are non-corrosive. So a few applications of these lubricants shood loosen up your power button.

If you don't want to send it to Apple, there is one way with out messing it up, use the menu to light the screen up, and download a app (I forgot the name but I think it has the work unlock in it). But what it does is when you push menu button it pop's up on the screen and you can do unlock by tapping it, and a menu, circle like menu will pop up and has some options, like unlock, etc. Hope this helps!

Apparently this is a common problem. People have worked it out by pressing it. Also maybe if your inclined with tools pull it out somehow. Don't try if your not, you may make it worse.
