Useless, wastes time, is really silly, and from what I understand not easy to implement.
Trails are cheap to begin with. If you were able to take the time and effort to make a suggestion for free stuff, you can dang well make money to buy a trail. Besides, the cheapest one would be what, 90k? Not even?

Besides, America isn't the only country in the world. If I'm not mistaken, Andrew is Canadian which would make July 1st more appropriate in my opinion. If something like this was implemented (which will never happen), it would be implemented on an international holiday. Wouldn't a day like New Years be more appropriate? Don't even bother bringing up China/Chinese New Year, there aren't many Chinese players that I know of anyways. Besides, there are many players who are Canadian, Australian, British, varying other European countries, etc etc.
Just because I said this doesn't mean the suggestion isn't completely useless.

 

Celebrating the Fourth of July is against my religion so I'm offended by this suggestion.

Your thoughts are in the right place, however, just the sheer time it would take to set this up and make it work efficiently wouldn't be worth the time. Plus, like 12345shane said, the cheapest trails can be bought at 70k, maybe less from the right buyer.

I think that at Valentine's day they gave each player their own "heart" if they logged on, or something like that. We also had a 12 days of Christmas event last year, where you could win renamed Christmas-y items.

For any item giveaways, it's need to be 1) for an international holiday, and 2) a relatively cheap in-game item. For example, a renamed firework rocket on the 4th of July. However, not everyone celebrates Independence Day, and giving a trail is far too expensive to be freely giving out. -1
