Brief Description: So I had my [Gate] working perfectly until my friend decided to mess with me (please do not make me say who it is, I do not want him banned or anything like that). It seems that whenever I try to re-make the [Gate], it gets stuck or something of the sort.
Instructions: 1) Put the upper part of the fence where I want it.
2) Put the [Gate] on a sign on the front of the structure and back.
3) Make the foundation
4) Toggle the gate and it gets stuck.
How many times did you recreate this bug?: 12, not including @WeirdBuilder.
Result: The gate gets stuck and the fences disappear into the sign.
Expected Result: Gate toggles fully functionally.
Evidence: N/A

Hello there. I helped officialminer out with this in-game. The issue becomes that the gate will "open" and make the blocks it's made of vanish, but it will fail to put them back.
The reason for this is simple: Another block of the same type as the gate material, in this case wooden fence, is used above, to the side of, or generally near the gate sign. This confuses the sign as to where the gate is supposed to start and end. If you are making gate signs, you need to either not use the material you want in nearby construction, or do some serious testing to be sure it wont interfere with the gate.
Official asked me in-game to lock this, but if you have further issues, feel free to post another report, or contact a staff member.

Mhm. I spaced out, forgot that we leave these threads open in case the solution presented doesnt do the trick and more debate is required.
