Instead of having a single magic day, give people a certain amount of magic hours they can redeem and/or build up whenever they want, per hour.Why is this a good addition for EcoCityCraft?:

The lag right now, because people no-lifeing just about every way of making money, short of poking jesus with a stick, is lagging the server so hard that it's impossible to deal with, and this method spreads out magic-lag over the course of several days.
Additionally, i think this is a more modular way to get into magic-tweaking, without having to schedule stuff.One suggestion per form:
It offers more freedom to fine-tune the balancing of magic tools, prevents lag and gives people a more approachable way to access magic, whenever they need it.
To further clarify: This would make people receive a monthly 'wage' of magic-hour-credits they can hand in to activate magic for themselves, and only themselves on an hourly basis.
I'm not sure if this is possible, but if it is, it would hugely improve server performance on the now magic-days.

I agree the lag is terrible.
I don't see how this would help though. Allowing people to trigger magic whenever they want would only prolong the agony for the rest of us (non-magic folk). I don't think magic can be turned on for just one player at a time, can it? -

Andrew has explained on several occassions how MN is going to fix this issue, by limiting Main to as little as 50 people so that new players and those without features are forced onto MN during times of extremely high activity (like magic days).

+1 I know the usual objection to this is tool sharing but in my opinion the benefits of a system like this out way the downside. Maybe four-six hours refreshing monthly per user non transferable with the option to buy more on the store

Anyway, I’m going to -1 this specific suggestion. I agree lag was bad, but there are a few issues with this specific suggestions
Yes, the lag was terrible today, but don’t forget, magic day today was a weekend in the summer(not to mention Sunday is usually the day people don’t work if they work 6 days a week). The next magic day is going to be on a Monday and will continue on weekdays for the next three or so months (which will mean less people will be online during magic day). And as mentioned, with Main North, the server(s) will have less people on each for magic day.
And I will also mention that Andrew is (if he hasn’t already) adding purchasable magic hours in the buycraft store.
TL;DR -1 because it seems today is the worst lag we are going to get on magic days because of the specific day and also future plans that are already going to be in place. No need for a major change like this-

While I don't think this is a bad idea, I think it should wait until after mainnorth relaunches to see if that is able to shift enough players so that it will resolve the major lag issues. Perhaps revisit this after MN launches if the lag problems continue to persist. -1 For now.

Although I don’t really play on ecc anymore I’ve seen many messages about how screwed up and bugged magic day is.
