    Reason: Admitting to using a hacked client. (forcefield)

    Counter-Reason: I am not sure why I was banned. I was not using a hacked client. I am not sure what a hacked client (forcefield) is. I remember some guy asked me about it, but I thought he was saying that he couldn't hit me in the survival games and it was like I was cheating or something. I was joking around with him and said that it was like i was cheating, but I wasn't. I was just messing around with this guy. I do not know how I could get banned for saying this. I have played ECC for a long time and if I had been "cheating," I definitely would have better SG Stats and probably would have been caught anyway. I'm sorry for joking around with another player. I didn't realize I could get banned for saying this. I am a Mayor and I just started my town and was about to make a $20 donation for Teleport. I would love to get back on ECC as soon as possible because I did nothing wrong.

    Evidence: I have no true evidence, however when this other player messaged me I did say that I was joking and I still got banned. Again, I am truly sorry for joking about a matter as serious as this. Thank you.

    Hello there,

    Thank you for taking the time to file an appeal. You are indeed banned for admitting to using a hacked client (forcefield). Using any sort of hacked client to give you an advantage on ECC is seriously against the rules which is why we take this so seriously. Our rule on the usage of hacked clients give a better idea of how/when we enforce it:
    As you can see, especially in your case being a frequent SG'er, a hacked client can make a very unfair economic situation while frustrating many players. The ECC user base does its best to make it fair, and anytime you have clients like this installed, you will most likely be caught.

    As you mentioned in your appeal above, you do not know what hacked clients are. I suggest you take a minute or two to do some research on them (but NOT installing them) to familiarize yourself on their dangerous content so you can avoid any confusion in the future.

    After discussing with a few staff members, I have decided to give you a 3 day temp-ban. The length of this temp-ban is to teach you how seriously we take hacked clients here on ECC. During this time, I wish for you to familiarize yourself with hacked clients and also take a fresh look at our server rules so you can avoid any more confusion/bans in the future. When your temp-ban has expired, feel free to rejoin the server refreshed and ready to positively contribute to the ECC community. See you soon!
