Just throwing out my 2 cents, unprompted. Use it as you see fit.

First, congrats on this venture. I understand the economics as far as you see them, and wish you the best. I hope it goes as smoothly as you are expecting it to, and I wish everyone the best in getting rich (both the owners and the renters).

I understand that my post is not going to change anything, and once again, I do understand the other side/view.

I believed that saying "for life" in regards to me buying perms in Atlanta was in regards to my life, not Atlanta's. I guess that was my mistake.

80k, to me, is a lot. This whole thing of "getting it back in 3 hrs" or "5hrs", is (and excuse my language) B.S.
I am not a fast farmer. I do not have the "fly" donation. I have to wait to find people to repair my tools. I might be able to get 3k an hour if I ignore my friends pm's and stick to straight farming. This in turn means 80k takes me, on average, 24 hours. Then you take into account the fact that I have a life outside ECC and only spend a few hours (if that) a night. And we are looking at a week+. and that is if I do nothing else. If I want to help a friend with their town, or build up one of my towns, or just sit and chat, this would increase the real time.

So, for me to "get back" my 80k, we are talking weeks, not a single night. I understand people farm faster than me and my results may vary. This is me, not you or kuke (who farms faster than <insert any/every superfast person here>.

So, while I appreciate the discount, and I understand that this is a compromise that is made to try to suit everyone, I do not know if I will be able to afford it, as I have other things I am saving up for as well. I also, now, do not have a good sized farm to build up "quickly". I am not a powerhouse player, and perhaps that is where this new farm is being directed at.

Thanks for allowing me to use Atlanta. At the time, it was a HUGE investment for me, and I spent a week getting that 5k. I eventually got my money back and never had an issue of "waiting for things to regrow". Then again, I think I was the only person doing sugarcane. I loved the Acrotrainer, and sometimes would just spend an hour or two just falling.

I do not fault you for what you are doing. But please do not think just because you may be rich (a relative term I know), please be aware that the players who forked out 5k for Atlanta may feel slighted because, to them, that may have been a big investment. And IF that was large to them, imagine what $80k or $100k sounds like. This isn't chump change for the peons (of which I am one).

Who knows, maybe tomorrow Andrew may start everyone off with 500k as a new player, and all of this will be moot. I won't hold my breath though. :p

Just to clarify a few things...
1. Perms for life for THIS farm will be for the rest of your life.
2. Your looking at 3 massive farms taking over a 400x400 area, that will always be ready to be farmed. You would no longer have to wait, as we will continue to build on to it until we reach the sky limit. (which i heard is being doubled again)
3. Sure it may be 80k or 100k, but it is a great investment, and only the top farmers will be wise enough to buy it. If your into earning huge money from lotto, then the farms should be able to make you earn the money to get huge in the lottery. Investing is the key to earning more money then you would have.

• Cleared out all the farms.
• Cleared most of the main hub/plots.
• Should start construction today on the reed farm!

 

It's just so expensive... Atlanta was great. I got in for 5k!
