ecc should get the auction pluggin it is very easy for players to use there is no possible way of you getting scammed out of an item it trades automatically the player gets their money without any problem and the other player gets their item. this plugin would reduce scamming by a lot. Think about it especially all you players that have been scammed before.

im not gonna say the name of the server but there is a server i play on that has a auction plugin that is able to auction enchanted items
I know that I suggested this sometime in 2012, and Andrew personally said it wasn't going to happen. That doesn't mean this one will be denied, but the chances aren't exactly in your favor. That said, an auction plugin that would be able to sell enchanted items, with no hiccups, would be nice to have.
In my opinion, if Andrew were to accept all automated usually-player-run suggestions, the server trade and auc chat would be totally silent. Just auction it out loud- don't be lazy in a video game where you already are sitting around. EDIT: Scamming is something that will ALWAYS happen. This teaches you sort of a life lesson on scamming with who and who not to trust.
For scamming, have them pay first, And if they don't, then don't sell to them. Anything automated scares me as I would only want my items transferred by me.
No, there is a big reason behind this. However I really don't want to explain the whole thing so I will just say ECC has a balance and scamming is a part of it.
I'm shocked how many people are saying scamming happens why fix it, like seriously you're saying that if we could reduce scamming you wouldn't do it. I'm not saying this is the best solution but people are saying this wouldn't work for all the wrong reasons. I think this could work but it does have problems suck as auctioning multiple items, people often auction towns and this would make renaming an item easier to scam with but not what everyone else is saying in this thread.
This won't reduce scamming, this will just make scamming happen somewhere else. Not to mention A LOT of people I know don't feel comfortable knowing their enchanted tools go through an automated system. Or the fact that they can't auction of "services" like unlimited repairs, anvils, etc. Now, if you really are against scamming and want to stop scamming, make people aware of scammers in a discreet way, don't point fingers, don't accuse anyone, just privately tell someone if they're about to trade with someone with a "shady past"
im pretty sure if you want to auction free e repairs or a town you just get a book out the name as unlimited e repairs and who ever wins the auction gets the book so that shows that you get free e repairs
u do know that when u write a book and sign it the players name is on it so there is no way to duplicate it without the original person having their signature
Signed books can be completely duplicated (signature included) with 1.7. The only way to avoid with would be to write "Free Ereps to [player]". That puts extra hassle on the seller. As well, can a plugin differentiate between different signed books? If it can't, books couldn't be used.
who would auction that much cobble in the first place and they can do more than 1 auction or put it in trade chat
Let's say 10k diamonds then, it doesn't matter what's being auctioned. Also, having to split up your auction because the auction plugin doesn't support what you want to auction is frustrating.
This is stupid our system is fine what i do is half the ecc money is payed the item id given then i pay other half i.never hsve been scammed since i was a builder and i was payin 2k for a dia helm i was bound to be scammed
