Thread Title:
Automatic Afker
Minecraft Name:
Iticip
Suggestion:
That we install some sort of plugin that automatically puts players as afk after 5-7 minutes of not touching minecraft.
Reason:
There are a lot of times when this would be useful, especially when another user is expecting a payment. If the automatic afker was installed, you would know the player was away, not just ignoring you. Many times, players are either too lazy, or forget, to type /ch afk. +1,
If this were added, I would use it so unbelievably often. -

use /ch afk or log off, an auto afk plugin is not needed. (It's also a lag causer)

I don't see not using /ch afk as being lazy. Not everyone cares to let others know that they are afk. However, it's inconvenient when you are trying to talk to them and they are away. Anyhow, if it causes significant lag then it's hard to support this idea.

I understand completely what you are saying tbone and I do tend to forget to set my afk sometimes. It is too bad that the only way to get farms to grow is to be afk close to the crops. I personally would not be afk near as much if that ever gets changed.
As for talking to someone who does not answer, it is simple enough to just leave them a mail telling them what information you need to share.
If I am really busy mining or building I do not always see the messages - it does not mean I am ignoring anyone. -
You likely have more knowledge on this then I do, but, I don't see how is can cause extra lag. It is something that would appear when somebody messages another user who is afk at that time, and if anything, if would keep the logs shorter due to that user knowing the other is afk

UPDATE: I found a plugin, however, it broadcasts when a user goes into ark/comes out. If there is a way we could change this from being in global, to PM or local, then it would be very useful.

*EDIT: I also found another, that would pretty much work perfectly http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/isafk/ -
kukelekuuk C͕̹̲̽ͪ͐ͩ̔L̜̦̝͈ͦ̿̾̿ḘA̻̗̤̳̐ͭ̆̿̃̑ͭN̊̓͑̇ͯBuilder ⛰️ Ex-EcoLeader ⚜️⚜️⚜️ Premium UpgradeIt checks if you are doing anything to see if you're afk, correct? If that's the case, it does a check EVERY TIME someone moves and chats. It does this for everyone. Now imagine 300 players, all moving and it having to check if they're afk or not and if they're supposed to go afk or not. That seems a bit problematic, does it not?
