I had the problem that everytime I tried to login to the server it kept saying BAD LOGIN. So I tried a lot of different stuff that didn't work and then I saw a post here for another problem and did that and it worked.

You fix this by opening minecraft and before you login you press options and press force update. This helped for me and may even solve some other problems that you have.
