Have you changed your Minecraft username since being banned? If so, what is your previous name?:
    No

Which of ECC's services are you banned on? [Main Server/Teamspeak/Shoutbox - delete as appropriate]:
    Main Server

    Reason of Ban:
    Minor grief in Lethloria

    Rule violated:
    Clause 1 - Griefing
    • Grief is defined as breaking or destroying things that do not belong to you, including breaking and replacing things to get to places that otherwise you shouldn't be going (for example, breaking into someone's house.) This can also extend to building things in areas that do not belong to you.
      • Grief is not allowed in protected towns, unless the town owner has decided otherwise. In the event a grief occurs in a non-grief town then a grief report can be filed here: Grief Report and Rollback Request
        • If a town allows grief then all residents must be informed before joining the town.
    • When a grief report is filed, grief is graded on a sliding scale of minor/moderate/major based on the amount and severity of damage done, and is determined based on staff guidelines by the staff member investigating the situation. It is also determined at that time whether the grief is bad enough to warrant a rollback.
    • Grief in the wild is frowned upon, but allowed. Staff will not take any action in the case of wild grief.
    • Please see Section 7 for rules regarding grief in the Aether, Nether and Mining World.

Please explain in your own words what the rule(s) means:
I needed money, so I took about 10 Lapis blocks from Lethloria. However, since I didn't build the area that i took them from, it is considered griefing. I misused the perms given to me by being a member of this town.

Reason you feel you think you should be unbanned:
When I griefed, I was desperate for money. However, I decided to choose the stupid route and steal a few lapis blocks to sell in exchange for money, and then replace them with cobble. I admit to this grief, and I didn't know that taking a few items is considered griefing, and I should have read the rules before playing on this server. I usually play factions, where griefing is allowed, and I thought that economy was similar. However, now that I know that it is highly frowned upon, I will find other, sincere ways of making money, and not grief at all. If needed, I can pay back any money it may have cost the owner of Lethloria to fix my grief. I can also work for them. I shouldn't have resorted to stealing to earn money, and I hope that I can earn back my respect with Lethloria and the other staff members involved.

Glad to see you filing a ban appeal. However before we can continue I'll need you to quote the rule you broke in your original post. You can read the "Server Rules" in this link.

Thanks for quoting the rule. You should realize that you should have read the rules when you were asked to in your Resident Application. I would suggest to take the time and read the Server Rules in it's entirety. I'll be temp-banning you for 2 hours.

    Locked - A_Happy_Chicken temp-banned for 2 hours
