Banned for "Advertising" by Kukelekuuk00

Hello I'm new to the forums and I'm sorry that this has to be my first post. My problem is that I had logged onto this server to check it out because I thought the idea was great. I joined the game and everything is going fine but I can't figure out how to talk in global chat so I had been asking people how to talk in global but everybody would just ignore me and if somebody did ignore I'd move on and go ask somebody somewhere else. But then as I'm trying to figure it out through the help commands I get banned for "advertising?" I was only in the server for maybe five minutes, if that. I'm honestly really upset at how unprofessional I felt this was. I'm brand new to actually playing Minecraft online and I went online and did my best to find a professionally ran server and I feel that this is the exact opposite at the moment. I looked at the sticky for how to make a ban appeal and it states that you guys are capable of looking back through the chat logs so please do so as I guarantee you will find no advertising of any sort from me. I still really would like to give this server a shot so please let me know if anybody can fix this.
