Section 2 Clause 2 – Trolling
Trolling is not allowed on the server, especially any trolling that is directed towards another user. This includes, but is not limited to:
Flame baiting
Harassment (See Section 2 Clause 3.)
Cyber-bullying
Attempts to start any form of chaos and discord within the server.

Section 4 Clause 3 - Inappropriate/Touchy Subjects and Discussions
EcoCityCraft is a server community consisting of many age groups, religious groups, and political backgrounds. As such, there are many touchy subjects that we do not allow in our public channels in order to keep the peace and prevent arguments and flame wars from occurring.
All chat must be kept appropriate and clean at all times. There is to be no discussion of anything deemed inappropriate for a workplace, including, but not limited to, sexuality, excessive violence, alcohol/drugs and inappropriate or dark humour.
This rule extends into subjects about illegal substances or actions, including drugs.
Politics, religion and suicide are common “touchy subjects”, however they are not the only ones. Should a staff member ask you to change a subject they feel is touchy and/or is causing the direction of chat to deviate towards an argument or flame war, you must drop the subject immediately.
Discussing a banned user's ban reason and why they were banned is not allowed, however simply mentioning a banned player's username is allowed.
Accusing other players of breaking any of the Server Rules is not allowed. Use the proper means to address these concerns such as speaking to a staff member or filing a complaint.

Section 4 Clause 6 - Languages
EcoCityCraft is an English speaking server.
You are required to speak English in all global chat channels, and whilst in the vicinity of spawn.
This includes areas that are anywhere within 400 blocks of spawn, as that is the range of local chat.
If you wish to play with a friend and speak other languages, that is fine in private chat channels, or in local chat that is not spawn. However, it must stay out of global chats.​

Please explain in your own words what the rule(s) means:

The first rule (S2C2 – Trolling) states that it is illegal to bait other users into discussions that can be considered derisive.

The second rule (S4C3 - Inappropriate/Touchy Subjects and Discussions) states that it is illegal to continue a discussion that has been considered derisive by the staff team. The rule also states that it is illegal to accuse other users of violating rules, all accusations must be made via the forums or via the staff team in-game.

The third rule (S4C6 – Languages) states that it is illegal to converse in any other language than English in global chat.​

Reason you feel you think you should be un-banned:

First and foremost, let me start this by apologising to the players and staff members I have hurt, offended, inconvenienced or otherwise made their ECC experience less than enjoyable. The words and actions I have employed for the last few months have been wholly unacceptable and, although I will never be able to undo the past, I hope this piece will go some way in convincing you that I can be a positive influence in the future.

Spending the last few days gathering my thoughts, I completely understand why the staff team had to take action against me. Global chat is meant to be for everyone. It is the hub of the community, a pillar of the core values that make this server different from all the rest. The disruption I caused has no place on ECC. All users expect a civil chat channel which is free from any needless provocation or unnecessary inciting of disorder, I am guilty of ruining this environment for the majority and I’d like to apologise for it. I know what I have done wrong and I promise that my provocative behaviour will never be repeated.

To the players directly affected, I am sorry. None of you deserved to be provoked whilst enjoying your spare time relaxing on a videogame, the server is meant to be for fun and I ruined this for a number of you.

To all members of staff, I am sorry. All of your duties are stressful enough without an experienced player like myself turning against the server. Being a fairly respected user I should have known my responsibility to set a good example is greater than the average player. Instead, I naively used my privileges to hurt many of the staff who have helped me over the years and this was wrong.

Lastly, to the community, I am sorry. No other Minecraft server comes close to the bunch of kind-hearted, good-natured and honest users on ECC. I have let each and every one of you down. But, if I am blessed by a second-chance, I hope that you will support me as I strive for better.
