I can relate to @THCOOL, I've made a big mistake once, 2 previous servers ago. People started hating on me, and no matter how much I wanted them to, thy wouldn't give me a second chance.

@THCOOL made one mistake and is remorseful. Why can't he have another chance? A perma won't solve anything, but a short temp would. However, THC still isn't innocent, he needs a harsh punishment so he doesn't repeat his actions.

 

Don't you think he already has had one? :/

 

This is exactly what I wanted to say. You can claim you didn't know about the scams, but whenever someone mentioned Obble's shady actions leading up to his reveal of the scam, you were very quick to ban, slander, and shame them. Sure, you can argue you were 'defending' Obble, but let's get real. You're an extremely intelligent person @THCOOL. You also know tons about economics. With the information you had, and/or should've known as a staff member of ECC or VoE, it'd be pretty silly for us to think and believe you were completely oblivious.

 

I have had a few experiences with THCOOL all being very good. Matrix_rep said that THCOOL should be allowed back, and it was his eff7 tat got burned. I personally think that means a lot that one of the main victims of this mess thinks that THCOOL should be allowed back.
Although THCOOL may have made a couple of mistakes, he is a very good person and deserves to play on ECC again. Hope to see you soon THCOOL. :)

I'm glad that you can finally see how 1 thing can ruin your reputation, it's a shame that you were involved in yet some other shady ordeal. You were doing well there for a while building your reputation back up with me and this has just shattered it again. I can't say I believe everything you're saying, but as I said in Fury's appeal... all people make mistakes and deserve a chance to right them, to prove themselves. This stand true for you as well. Regardless of how deep your involvement was, as it can't be proven either way, you should get the same punishment Fury receives. I had suggested a week or two to reflect and 6 months of not being able to apply for staff.

Not talking about the video chap. That isn't why Obble was banned. Obble was banned for scamming, a scam which you should've known about and banned him for. Instead, you banned, slandered, and shamed anyone who brought up the VoE's shady business. With your knowledge of economics, all of Obble's loans and investors, and that 'words make VoE steal loans', as an honorable and honest staff member, you would've caught this from a mile away.

Your answer to my question was false. You could've prevented this. Why won't you just admit that?

 

As someone who doesn't play much on the server, though has been around for a while, I find it sad to see all this stupid drama.

The very fact that these appeals have been opened up for comments is just asking for more commotion. Firstly, it's opening up the floor to the wider community to make assumptions and throw accusations when frankly they know no more than what has been passed around by others. Secondly, obble did this for attention, to go out with a "bang". This only brings attention to the events.

Imo, this should have been dealt with like any other issue is normally dealt with on ECC where users are innocent till proven guilty. Like for real, give me some concrete evidence that THCOOL or FuryFudge were directly involved with the scamming? Even if we accept they were banned without sufficient investigation BEFORE banning them, why are we opening the post up to irrelevant comments - this could be done properly with relevant parties providing evidence and with staff/andrew looking into things privately, even if everything is then disclosed publicly afterwards.

I'm not going to give my opinion for the reasons stated above. I know as much as the next average joe so I don't see how it's relevant, at the end of the day all I would be making is assumptions...

 

I don't think the community needs him back, for all we know he can start something with a new group of players and repeat the cycle.

 

In the past couple of months THCOOL and I have been working day and night on opening a new business. Exchanging ideas about the project, writing up threads and specifically talking about THCOOLs connection to the VoE due to the negative publicity they were receiving. THCOOL would always tell me that he was annoyed at the way the public took to Ldw's side. However I know THCOOL well enough to know that this was never his intention.

The first thing THCOOL did when HE got banned, was apologise to me! He knew that we wouldn't be able to post the company for a while, and so he told me that he was sorry... The first thing I did was ask him really, why he was banned and he honestly did not know. I have seen the group skype chat, and my goodness, I am confused as to how THCOOL could be the bad guy, the language used by certain staff members, it was seriously eye opening considering how professional mods act in-game. I agree with our previous server owner, when I say that the way THCOOL has been subject to this, is really quite disappointing.

If you look at the record, THCOOL handled investors money, by the books. THCOOL has a clean record, and has been a long time member... I find it hard to believe that as a community we treat one of our members like this. It feels like THCOOL and Fury are Copping Obble's actions which I honestly feel is completely unfair. The last message 'THCOOL can repeat and start a new cycle' It's actually starting to annoy me. I just can't see what involvement THCOOL had which lead to the scam of these players, let alone an indication that he will start a cycle all over again?

I can see how there was a lack of judgement in some places, however I also feel it is unrealistic to leave a player banned, for afking in a video - where it can not even be proved whether or not he was there. I hope to see you back in a week or so THCOOL... Good luck :)

 

I wasn't exactly bringing that situation back up, I was more so hitting on our convo about that situation, the link was only posted as a source link where I got the quotes from. Why I felt it was relevant? Because your decisions in this situation have gotten you into trouble, much like last time and I just wanted to know what you plan to do to prevent this from happening in the future. I did not think any of that was out of line as someone has said that you shouldn't even be allowed back on the server because you could go and follow in Obble's footsteps starting up another business (which you've talked about) and then repeating the cycle. I'm only trying to give you the chance to speak out and tell people how you will improve yourself, but if you feel it all irrelevant, don't speak up and good luck.

 

Its a shame that due to Obble's actions- people now feel the need to assume the the business that THCOOL was planning to open up (With myself) would simply be a scheme to again steal money, really is in my opinion disappointing for THCOOL... Again - he handled all money correctly, he had no knowledge that Obble was going to do this. In his ban appeal he even states that the reason he plays ECC is for business, not farming, not mining, not lotto. And if people assume things like this, it says more about the community then THCOOL. Again, that is not completely directed at you, however I hope you see my point.
