Touchy Subject Clause 3, Section 4 Please explain in your own words what the rule(s) means: The term of flamebaiting, to me, means not to make someone rage to the point they blow up and say inappropiate things. Touchy Subjects are subjects that people don't want to talk about because they are controversial and may lead to rage. Reason you feel you think you should be unbanned: I think I should be unbanned because I was just saying a term that is commonly thrown around to those that dislike homosexual people. I do understand it was wrong of me to say it, especially directed towards someone. I was mad because I felt the user was being rude to me. I apologized afterwards to the user afterwards and he/she seemed unwilling to hear me out. I agree not to throw touchy topics out in chat in general. I do still apologize to him/her. In the future I will do the /ignore feature that you guys have created. Thanks.
Hi CCCP, I'm glad to see you're interested in rejoining the community. Seeing you were verbally warned twice in game regarding this matter, there should be no real excuse as for why you decided to continue with your flame baiting and discussion of touchy subjects. Such topics are to stay far from chat, as they can cause further unneeded issues amongst the community. For the most part, what you had discussed in this appeal is correct. You have the right intentions other than what you wrote in the first sentence. "I think I should be unbanned because I was just saying a term that is commonly thrown around to those that dislike homosexual people." You were banned exactly for this reason. That term, leads to that touchy subject. Other than that, it seems you've learned from your actions. As you said yourself, in the future use the ignore command. If you're still having similar issues, take a break from ECC. Log out, go to the kitchen, get some food out the fridge and think about something different for an hour or two. As for your ban, I will be issuing you a 3 hour temp-ban for your discussion of touchy subjects and a 2 hour temp-ban for your flamebaiting. Don't let me see this happen again.
