Minecraft Username:
Derp Dirt
Have you changed your Minecraft username since being banned? If so, what is your previous name?:
No
Which of ECC's services are you banned on? [Main Server/Teamspeak/Shoutbox - delete as appropriate]:
Main
Reason of Ban:
Harassment/Vulgar Language/Spamming/Major Grief in Suburbville
Rule violated:
Clause 1 - Griefing, Clause 3 - Harassment, and
Clause 2 - Vulgarity
Please explain in your own words what the rule(s) means:
Clause 1 - Griefing
- Grief is defined as breaking or destroying things that do not belong to you, including breaking and replacing things to get to places that otherwise you shouldn't be going (for example, breaking into someone's house.) This can also extend to building things in areas that do not belong to you.
- Grief is not allowed in protected towns, unless the town owner has decided otherwise. In the event a grief occurs in a non-grief town then a grief report can be filed here: Grief Report and Rollback Request
- If a town allows grief then all residents must be informed before joining the town.
- When a grief report is filed, grief is graded on a sliding scale of minor/moderate/major based on the amount and severity of damage done, and is determined based on staff guidelines by the staff member investigating the situation. It is also determined at that time whether the grief is bad enough to warrant a rollback.
- Grief in the wild is frowned upon, but allowed. Staff will not take any action in the case of wild grief.
- Please see Section 7 for rules regarding grief in the Aether, Nether and Mining World.
Clause 3 - Harassment
- Harassment constitutes as any form of action (chat or game play wise) that makes another player feel threatened or otherwise ruins their game play.
- Griefing in the wild does not constitute harassment. Harassment in the wild is strictly chat/command based.
- This includes, but is not limited to; blackmail, bullying or any other form of harassment that occurs through our chat system.
- Attempting to kill other players in any non-PvP zone also constitutes as harassment, and succeeding in killing other players in non-PvP areas is a very severe offence that will result in a ban.
- Harassment is absolutely inexcusable on EcoCityCraft. If you are engaging in this behavior expect to be removed from the server with little to no warning.
- Disrespecting staff falls under this rule - They are players too.
Clause 2 - Vulgarity
- Inappropriate and vulgar language is not allowed. This includes anything put on signs, said in chat, written in books, renamed to on items (see Section 3 Clause 2.1), spelt out in blocks (see Section 2, Clause 2.1), or any other way of communicating.
- Occasional mild to moderate vulgarities that are not directed at anyone (such as "slip-ups" or saying them in the incorrect chat by accident), self-censorship of a swear word or abbreviations that may imply a swear word (eg. WTF?) are allowed unless it is directed at another user.
- Repeated or excessive swearing, and especially vulgar language directed at anyone, is not tolerated under any circumstance.
- Racist language or prejudicial language of any sort falls under the vulgarity rule, and is considered a very serious offence, punishment of which may not warrant a warning before being given a ban,
Reason you feel you think you should be unbanned:
I am greatly sorry for what I've done in Suburbville. If only I can take it back. I am not sorry for just Suburbsomeone, mayor, that I've damaged his town but for the grief I've brought upon the people of the town. I feel so sorry that words can not even describe just a portion of it. I regret the grief that I've brought upon Suburbville, everyone makes stupid choses that have consequences and I hope to get back on ECC and make up for all the damage. Also, I feel sorry for using inappropriate text, I was just over the top angry, and I couldn't help it, and I will think twice this time because there are probably younger kids who shouldn't be seeing that kind of language. Plus, I am very sorry for the harassment I've brought to people, just like the inappropriate text I used I feel sorry for the threats I've brought upon. I feel very sorry for the people I've threatened I should of thought twice.
