Minecraft Username: sjdhfu312 Reason: I was banned for loan scamming when I made a loan almost 4 months ago when loan scamming was not illegal and now i'm being banned for it Counter-Reason: If the rules were that loan scamming was illegal before, I wouldn't have made an almost 200% loan. Plus, I have yet to see any evidence of this and I don't know what the payment was Evidence: IDK, none on his part... I'd like someone other than Ragman to look at this though, I don't think i should be banned for something that was legal and now isn't. Plus Ragman stated I haven't put effort for 2 weeks but I just got back a week ago and i'm busy during the week
I just thought i'd add this... My ban before was from request not from the loan. The loan was legal and Ragman's reasoning is innaccurate stating a false amount of days given and stating that I was given a warning after my first ban to pay back the victim however this is also false. My ban was as stated above, request, not loan scamming...
Honestly, you didn't help yourself by admitting it. Just because it wasn't illegal doesn't mean you should have done it - you had a legit reason to be banned at the time you were.
not really... just because it's illegal now doesn't make it right that i'm being punished for it now. I had just been scammed 400k at the time and i was mad, I needed money and that's how i did it. I'm not proud of it, but there isn't a reason that I should've been banned after it became illegal. Think about this example... If suddenly the government decided that people can't smoke, then why would someone who smoked a while ago be thrown in jail if he hasn't smoked since the law. It's the exact thing and it isn't right, the reason has no justification what so ever.
and it has been 6 hours since this appeal, I know the mods and admins are busy, but saturday is basically the only time I have to play this server and this is getting ridiculous for the time it takes for someone to read this.
Hello sjdhfu312, While loan scamming wasn't as specified as it is now, scamming was in the rules at the time of these event, meaning taking a loan out without the intent to pay it back is still scamming. If this is just reason or not to have you ban is up for the supermod+ that reviews this case to determine, until then please read up on the server rules found here. Left unlocked for a supermod+.
