Reason: Banned by **Dewsy92 Reason: Use of an Illegal Minimap
Counter-Reason: I have checked server rules multiple times regarding this and could not find anything about minimaps not allowed. The only rule that could be applied here is:
- Using any clients, specifically hacked clients, which may allow you to gain unfair advantages as deemed by ECC staff is strictly prohibited.
All of the hacked clients that are refereed to in the rules are talking about auto clicking, auto farming, or any program to make money without having to do anything. The minimap has none of these features.
"...deemed by ECC staff is strictly prohibited." How are members suppose to know this prior to getting banned. Are all members of the server, expected to monitor the ban/complaint section of the forum to find out what ECC staff find to be unfair advantage. This is a very poor way to run the server. It should be listed clearly in the server rules section under illegal or hacked clients.
If I would have known this rule prior, I would have never done it. I have such removed the minimap from my minecraft program (screenshot below), sorry for the misunderstanding. I have enjoyed playing on ECC for almost a year now, and have donated much of my money to the server to help improve it and would like to continue to play on this server for years to come. Sorry once again for the misunderstanding on the rules.

You didn't think being able to know where other players are in pvp areas such as the neather or in SG would give you an unfair advantage? Also as a general rule of thumb ask a staff member before installing and
anything that changes the game-

I have only played a few SG games ever on the server, I have never even won one. I also do not PVP in the arenas or in the nether. I was not trying to gain an unfair advantage against other players by using it. I still think the rules should be clearer. Having to find out the rules by getting banned is not fun.

I never said that you went in pvp areas or played SG I was just pointing out how it can give you an advantage and it would be impossible to list all the mod/texture packs/ resource packs etc. that give an unfair advantage because of how many there are and there are more everyday with different names but same concepts.

A player radar is a mod that gives you a large and unfair advantage. The majority of the users understand this rule. We haven't added a list of mods that are illegal because there are too many to list. If you want to know if a mod is illegal or not then ask a staff member.
Know that installing mods on a client that involve hacking/unfair advantages turns said client into a hacking client. It's a modified client for unfair/hacking purposes. This obviously includes auto-fish, autoclick, autoaim, player radar, x-ray, chest-finders, etc.
The player radar is a common feature in hacking clients, and there's not much use for it aside for unfair purposes.
As for the punishment, I'll be issuing you a 1 day tempban.
