+1 Many users "say" they are buying you a feature, then lotto with the money you pay them. If they win lotto, they just say the donation failed, and give you back your money. Although if they lose lotto, they say that their Credit Card has been put on hold.

 

This it's a GIANT amount of truth coming from a LEADER in the community. I hope everyone reads it.

My fear would be that the "authorities" would protect the trolls and scammers even more than now and punishment would be harsh for the trolled or scammed.

 

I totally understand - it really bothers me as well that these "attempted" scams have no consequences at all whatsoever.
It is so great that screenshots were taken on this particular issue. I just wish more players would understand how important it is to gather evidence. To the mods credit, they do say so in each contract written, and I think work hard to try to get people to understand how important it is.
Unfortunately, sometimes it is buyer beware - and most of the time it is somebody who is very impatient that seems to get scammed.

I'm sure this has been said, it's been a few since I read all the posts. It is really disappointing to see people try scamming, repeatedly, to have no consequence. Not only when it's done multiple times, but when it's so very blatant, it is the most disappointing.
Also, the need of evidence. No matter what, people should always take screenshots. Screenshots take up so little space, why wouldn't you?

With the influx of this happening lately I would really like to see this implemented. Just today people are doing scams to get money in order to play lotto. The person won so he paid back the money and they other never received what they though they were buying. All it took was giving back the money and keeping the profits and they got away without punishment. Scamming people shouldn't be a profitable business model on ECC!

 

I was scammed earlier by Giant_Leader, he took 150k for donation features, didn't buy any, then started playing lotto with the money i sent him. After he gained a large amount of cash he sent me my money back. I had a use complaint and everything. Nothing was done about it BUT I have started to ask mods about it.
