Minecraft Name: matrix_rep Suggestion: ban any texture packs that give others and unfair advantage (to me its like hacking) Reason: i dont understand why someone can have invis particles being "bigger and more noticable" then others have it. It creates an unfair advantage for those who have the pack if it truly is "op" as i have heard from people who use it, and it makes it harder for one to use invis as they can be seen alot easier. Any Other Information: Many people just say yea i am using @iTzXtremeGaming pack so i would appreciate if itz could explain what this pack is. Link To This Plugin: no
Lol I only know of 4 people who use my custom pack. Even then, it doesn't give an advantage, just like any other particle you can see them, whether there blãck or the default, there still just as noticeable. Imo you're only complaining because you rely on spy as a tactic, and when someone kills you with this 'texture pack' you get mad and think it's only because the particles. You have it all completely wrong, I'll try explain how I find invid and a lot of people use the same tactics. F3. Entity's are a huge part of my help, considering I don't have hnt++. I also have a good HD monitor to see footsteps, they are probably a bigger giveaway than particles. Most people don't think that they are noticeable but they really are, when you are sprinting invisible go in f5 and look at footprints you are leaving, that's how I pick up how to follow you, then I see the occasional particle which tells me that you are actually there, along with entity's showig 1/2 if I'm chasing and if I look away 0/2. It's all combined methods that help me catch invisible people, and it's taken along time for me to master, almost 4months I think? Anyways summing this post up, I dont think this should be added, as if it is, entity's and footsteps should be banned to as they all help. Regards, iTz Edit, saw matrix's question regarding what my texture pack is; My texture pack is a mixture of different PvP texture packs to make it how I want it to look. I use it on hacking complaints I post if you want to go check it out, but without going into further detail, it's basically a texture pack that suits my needs of PvPing along with particles that are skulls. Hope that explains it to you
F3 is a vanilla feature and so is f5. Im not sure if this user even uses your pack but @Turt2014 told me before that your pack is so op and that's the only way he was able to see me... Not f3 or f5
^^ @matrix_rep me and itz really hated each other at the time that I found out about the pack (by seeing other players use it) and I really wanted huge invis particles. I just found one online almost identical to itz's one (very nice job on the pack, itz) and installed it. It uses big skulls for invis particles and makes it sooo easy to see invis that people think you're hacking when you chase after and kill them when they're invis.
Also, how does f3 help see invis? And no, I said it was similar but I would like the pack @iTzXtremeGaming , could I buy it from you? :3
Sadly, if you did this, you'd pretty much be banning an entire community. Not to mention someone could just switch their texture to Faithful while taking screenshots and say "Oh, I don't have an illegal texture pack, what are you talking about?" -1
If you're the person using the pack, idk because idk what tracers is like but for the person you're attacking I guess it can seem like you're hacking. It is an op pack.
If "Bigger and more noticeable" particles are disallowed, how do we draw the line between actual advantage and just cosmetic? Some could be both, intending to be cosmetic but still providing the advantage.
I'd support a full ban on texture packs, but that'd be the only way to regulate packs like these. And you couldn't punish anyone unless they posted screenshots. Not really feasible.
We could ban all texture packs and have a thread where people can ask if their texture pack is acceptable, and it could be added to a list of acceptable texture packs (alphabetized, to make it easier to find a texture pack that was already asked). It would kinda be like the custom tag thread where people ask if their tag is acceptable and it is either given the OK or no.
