Brief Description:
I noticed today that if I place a mending rod than max rod it costs 21 enchantment levels to combine.
I also noticed that if I place the max rod first, than enchanting rod it costs 7 enchantment levels to combine
The Result is the same rod.
Instructions:
Place items to be combined into Anvil
Switch items to be combined into anvil into opposite order.
Check which is cheaper to enchant.
How many times did you recreate this?:
once, but it seemed to be consistent.
Result:
Used 7 enchantment levels to combine Mending and a max rod
Expected Result:
Not sure if this is right or wrong. If its supposed to be 7 or 21 to do this action.
Evidence:
I did a print screen of it and forgot to paste it into mspaint before copying the forum. :(

It is because I’m the first scenario you’re adding the max rod enchantments to another rod. The second one you’re only adding lending to a rod.
