I Don't know why this is happening. When I tried to log on last night to ECC, it just said polling... and then no connection. This morning I tried it....the same think happened. I'm devestated! ECC is my life! I am running minecraft 6.4 and uninstalled my mods that might have been goofing things up. I need help with this!

Mojang servers might have been down (you can always check here: http://xpaw.ru/mcstatus/), or your Internet may be having connection issues. What is the exact error you get?

Try testing your Internet: http://www.speedtest.net/ See what ping and speed you get.
As well, try deleting the server in the list, and completely re-adding it. Try direct connection, too.
From searching, most of the people I have found who had this "Polling..." problem (and myself included, over a year ago) had this issue from their own Internet being bad or having issues, or using an incorrect IP.
Otherwise, I don't know how to help. :/-

Yes, take a backup of the folder called 'saves' the the .minecraft directory. When you finished re-installing minecraft you can transfer the contents of the saves folder into the new saves folder created in the .minecraft directory. -
Ok...even this didn't work :( I'm stumped. andrew, plz don't remove my stuff!! I need to fix this and figure this out!! By the way, minechat doesn't work either. The only server that doesn't work is ecc. I have other servers (or had until I rebooted mc) that work just fine! I don't know what it is!

This Is Happening Again. This Is Also Happening With A Number Of Different Users. The Only Solution That I have Found Is Just To Wait. It Took A Little Over Two Weeks To Regain Access The Last Time This Happened To Me.
