Minecraft Username: @jmichael214 Brief Description: Lancaster Square Trampoline no longer has any bounce to it. Instructions: The trampoline is a 5x5 square of slime blocks in the main square of Lancaster, located at y=65. It is fallen onto from a platform located at y=253, floating directly over it. There are lots of warnings on the platform, because unless you fall straight down, the SECOND fall (from the first bounce) is enough to kill you ... so players have to fall straight down or else boom. It was NEAT. You would bounce back up to just a little lower than this shot, which was awesome. But now, you don't bounce. It has become as lame as someone's fifth ban appeal for trolling. How many times did you recreate this bug?: @UnitedStates2002 noticed it. I recreated it a couple of time, as did @Smorezs. I tore out the slime blocks to relay them, and discovered someone had dug a little pit under them (griefer). I filled it, I relaid them, that wasn't it. Result: No bounce. Bounceless. Devoid of bounce. Joy sucked out of life, momentarily. Expected Result: Bouncing. Joie de vivre. Momentary forgetting of the cares of the world, because bouncing. Evidence: You can warp to /warp lancaster and find the trampoline down and to the left from the warp zone. The lift sign up to the platform is attached. Or you can TP to Rising X=13991, Y=253, Z=9594 and try for yourself.
I know that only the center of each individual block is bouncy, but parts of the edges aren't. Could it be that people are landing there? *** from my experiences
It has always worked for everyone, every time, up till now. In fact, people who didn't fall straight down kept getting killed, thus the warning signs. So aiming at anything wasn't required.
I'm sure staff will look into your thread shortly, however I must comment on this quote... it literally made me laugh out loud IRL.
I just tested the lancaster trampoline, and there is one thing I noticed: When you land on the slime block, you start going back up as expected from the bounce, but after less than a second the frame abruptly changes and you are back on the ground (almost like lag). I recreated this whenever you were at a higher y coord than around 100 (if it is less than 100 or so this did not occur). (I'll see if I can post a video later.)
That's exactly what we've been getting. And it seems that only certain players are affected. @Nicit6 had no such effect. Myself, @LemonLimey and @UnitedStates2002 were all affected.
I highly recommend testing this issue, and its exact setup in vanilla minecraft. (Just so we can rule out a vanilla issue that is out of our hands with your exact setup).
I tried falling from that height or more onto a 5x5 panel of slime blocks just like that in vanilla Minecraft ... it does seem to cause a little slowness even in single player... and that area around the square is legitimately one of the most densely built cities in Rising... and there is a mall right in the corner of the square with a couple hundred trade signs maybe? Would any of that affect it? It's more densely built now than it was when I built the trampoline, but not dramatically so. It was pretty dense before.
Oh, and incidentally, an old friend who doesn't come on often any more did plant about 150 banners all over the square, including the trampoline area, as a joke. I had just removed them a few minutes before this problem was reported to me.
I'm also having the same issue here. I was also able to recreate the issue with the bounce platforms at spawn, so I doubt the issue is anything in the town.
I have also tried to bounce on Andrew's bouncy course thing at spawn, but I was teleported down when I bounced up, and I thought it was just my laggy laptop. Then I did it 15 more times and still didn't realize it was a bug.
Hm...from what I can see, I'd like to blame NCP. Reason for that is that...I am experiencing the exact same problem when combining /fly and /speed. It used to work fine with /speed 10 until a few days ago, even when my connection was horrible. Now I tested with the best connection I had in a while...result: Even with /speed 3.14 it pulls me back, just as with the trampoline. Were any of NCP's settings changed a while ago...?
*Nods and feels traumatized* Fun aside...if I am not the only one - which I hope I am not since I suspect NCP - then /speed might have become greatly useless. Just my opinion though.
Issue seems to be rising-wide.Tested the parkour/bounce course at spawn just now and they seem to be experiencing the same bug.
