Sitting in class, in front of an old 2005 Dell computer, bored to death... Sick of EcoCityCraft, looking to kill time some other way... Or just sitting around, looking for something fun to do... I'm here to help. Welcome to my list of best websites on the Internet to kill time with. Disclaimer: These are the best ways to kill time on the Internet only. The best way to kill time is to read a book or magazine, so try that before any of these links! Many hours I have spent looking for the best, most entertaining, yet time-consuming sites on the Internet. They have helped me through boredom in class and at home, and I look forward to sharing the experience with you. Please moderate your time wisely when using these websites. Their time-killing abilities should not be abused. Without further ado: 1) QWOP https://www.foddy.net/Athletics.html An oldie but goodie. My personal record is 7.3 meters. It will take you a long time to beat the game, so best of luck in advance. One of the most renowned time wasters out there. 2) Snake Game http://www.me.umn.edu/~dockt036/snake.html This game has been killing time since the age of Nokia flip-phones. My favorite game to play during school when I should really be working on an essay. My personal record: 526. 3) Whale Sprite http://img0.liveinternet.ru/images/attach/c/5/3970/3970473_sprite198.swf This is my favorite time killer for when the ECC server is down, and you're stuck in that awkward 10-minute break. Great for all-ages of time-killers, and it's as easy as moving your mouse around. 4) The Useless Web http://www.theuselessweb.com/ Perhaps the best all-around time waster, this website brings you to many others that are quite useless. Trust me, it's a lot of fun. 5) YouTube https://www.youtube.com/ Duh. One of the best time killers of all. Click a video, watch, click the next video on the suggestion list, watch, repeat. 6) Find the Invisible Cow http://www.findtheinvisiblecow.com/ Don't try doing this one in class, it requires your sound to be on. Otherwise, prepare to waste hour after hour on this somewhat annoying, yet very addicting, clicking game. 7) 20 Questions http://www.20q.net/ Remember those little handheld 20Q toys that we were obsessed with as kids? Here's the online version of that. It's still just as difficult as the classic toy. 8) Random Paragraph Generator http://watchout4snakes.com/wo4snakes/Random/RandomParagraph Plug in a few names to the Proper Nouns section, and see what the generator has to say. It tells all. 9) Google Pac-Man http://elgoog.im/pacman/ What began as a Google Doodle in May 2010 remains a classic time killer as a classic game. 10) Atari Breakout https://images.google.com/ Do an image search for "atari breakout," and you'll be rewarded with an online form of the precursor to Brick Breaker. Have fun. 11) Either http://either.io Answer would-you-rather questions to your heart's content. A good time waster that makes you think a bit too. (Courtesy of @Kasert) 12) agar.io http://agar.io This one may have reached its height of popularity last year, but that hasn't affected its time-killing abilities. It's one of the most addicting games on the internet. (Courtesy of @amarta0811) 13) Cookie Clicker http://orteil.dashnet.org/cookieclicker/ Like its mobile counterpart, the PC form of Cookie Clicker allows you to, well, click cookies. And it's really fun. (Courtesy of @RyanBlocks2) 14) Canvas Rider http://canvasrider.com/tracks/random If you've played the mobile game Hill Climb Racing, this is similar. Press "Random Track" for a new track, or make your own! Kills time very efficiently. Got any more time-killers you love to use? Reply here! This is just a list of ten time killers I like, but there's a whole Internet out there. Reply here with your favorite time waster on the Internet, and I'll edit it in here. Until then, have fun wasting time doing nothing! @ChargerBoltz5
Played QWOP. Took me about 8 attempts total to beat the game. My first 7 attempts had a person best of about 1.7m, then I hit 100.1m The first 7 attempts took about 60 seconds. Getting to 100m took me about 6 minutes by a process of crawling along the floor while trying not to fall onto my face. The biggest challenge was the single hurdle at 50m which took me 2 minutes to crawl over without dying. Overall I finished the game in about 7 minutes. Wasn't that tough, but finishing quickly would be. Here's proof: @ChargerBoltz5 Edit: also beat your snake :>
g_g on qwop... for most people I know who beat it, it took a solid 1/2 hour or so And as for snake... how big is your monitor? The bigger the monitor, the more room for error... I play on a 19" or so 4:3 monitor
Tbh I think your larger monitor size gives you a bit of an advantage Here's a screenshot of my high score... you can tell that your screen is wider than mine. Oh well, my new goal is 391
Btw at end of the post it says: This is just a list of ten time killers I like, but there's a whole Internet out there. Reply here with your favorite time waster on the Internet, and I'll edit it in here. More than 10 now. Anyway here's my first attempt: Just a warmup 2nd attempt, pressed Left too many times and got just over 150. 3rd 201. Still working on it. @ChargerBoltz5
