The previous quote is from our server rules on the wiki page.
I have highlighted the important parts of it. Hopefully, the bits I highlighted explains the points about why people have joined your chat channel.
Also Discretions is a synonym for carefulness.

Yes, but, my point is we used to have a system for people moderating their own private chat channels. Why not bring it back? -
Just saying, those rules don't mean that this is unneeded. Rules often change to suit new server features, this would be no exception.
I think if this were added it would also be nice for "channel admins" (original applicants, I'd assume) to be able to change the password via command. It would save work on the part of those who handle applications, although I'm not certain of the features of herochat so I'm not sure if this would be possible. -
Changing password with command is a definite -1
Chat passwords take money out of the economy. -
It's also less work for Andrew to do, if the command were added. I think less work for Andrew is better than the 10k once or twice a month taken out of the economy for password changes. -

Or we could make a command for the GA's to use. Get the best of both worlds. Less work for andrew and money out of the economy. -
(Bump) +1 if I were to buy a town chat channel and I give someone I "trust" the password, they might leave and tell everyone it. It would be unfair for me to pay another 10k for someone being a jerk. However America did make everyone sign a contract. This is the solution: if you give out the password you will receive a 50k fine.

So if I had a town chat and someone was swearing it being rude for example I could ban them from my town chat ?

+1 unless there is big problems with the code around chat channels, this would be a remarkable addition to the ECC experience. This needs to happen.

I think this would be a great idea. How would it work if you're not the original owner of the town though? I have bought 3 towns other than my own, and 1 of them has a chat. Would the original owner have to add me and I remove them? Would I not be able to own it/add/remove people?
