    If you are interested in participating in the EcoCityCraft Staff Team - You must follow these staff guidelines, fill them out accordingly and repost as a new thread.

    :: Staff Application Format ::
    The quality and amount of work you put into your staff app will play a huge role in our deciding whether or not you get picked to join the team. If you put a lot of work into it, and your app shows that you have put a considerable amount of effort into it before posting, you will have a much better chance of getting moderator than someone who just hastily jotted down answers.

    List your current rank/ranks here. Staff Applications are open for all players who are Mayor or higher. Builders and Residents may apply only if they have been an active member of the community for at least 6 months. (This requires your forum account to have been registered over 6 months ago.)

    How old are you?:

    When did you join EcoCityCraft?:

    Please refer to your member page for a rough estimate. This is dependent on whether you joined the server and the forums around the same time.

    What time-zone are you in?:

    What time of the day do you usually play? Do you play mostly on weekends, or is it spread evenly through the week?

    In your opinion, what is the purpose of Moderators on EcoCityCraft? Why do you want to be a Moderator?:

    How have you been helping the community grow bigger and better? How will you help the server once you are a Moderator?

    The staff team is always changing and improving. If you become a staff member, what is one thing you would like to change about the staff team?

    EcoCityCraft gets a lot of Moderator applications. What specifically do you think puts you above the other applicants?:

    Please keep in mind that hypotheticals are not “right/wrong” answer questions. This is to explore how you would handle various situations.


    A new player logs in and is confused about what ECC is, and what they should do. What would be your concise answer to their question?


    A builder has been persistently posting trade ads into trade chat. The ads aren't going too quickly according to the rules, however many players are complaining in global chat. How do you approach the players in global?


    A handful of Builders have logged on and begun to play SG. After a bit, a Mayor joins them. After the game, the Builders begin to accuse the Mayor of hacking, and the Mayor accuses the others of boosting. How would you approach the situation?


    A player you've never heard of begins to advertise that they're selling features. Another staff member says in global that it's probably a scam. How do you handle the situation?

    Staff Standards

    - Online Time:
    We expect all staff members to spend at least 2 hours on the server a day. SuperMods/Game-Admins requirements are higher depending on their rank. Staff must be ACTIVE during that time. Being a staff member, and not being online for over a week wont allow you to keep the rank. If you are leaving on any sort of vacation - personal leave - let us know in the staff section with a thread to keep us aware of your plans. Over staying your planned leave by over a week will have you removed from staff. Failing to provide us with information regarding any sort of leave will not guarantee your staff rank. Depending on how long your leave is and the reason for your leave your rank may as well not be guaranteed.
    STAFF RANKS are not a permanent rank. Please do not consider them to be. They are ALWAYS temporary ranks and stay with you as long as you stay active with the server and continue to perform your duties as a staff member.

    - In-game moderation, assistance, help and server spirit:
    You are expected to moderate the EcoCityCraft server following the exact rules as outlined on the ECC wiki as well as following our specific moderating needs as outlined in the Private Moderators forum section.
    You are expected to provide answers in-game to members in need, and assist/help them. There are many users out there who legitimately require help and assistance. You must help these users the best way you can, and stay in server spirit. Remember, you represent EcoCityCraft and our entire community!
    Regarding server spirit ... Ive seen a few staff members go out of their way and help us get users doing simple things away from the community. I've also seen some staff members completely go above and beyond in game and assist new users in getting started. These actions, in my opinion are great, and show you truly care!

    - Forum Requirements:
    Various forum requests must be handled in a timely fashion such as the staff requests sections and more. Exact rank level requirements will be posted below. As well the forum must be frequently checked, moderated and supported (Meaning answering various help threads, as well as threads that you are required to attend to as outlined below in the rank level requirements.

    - Can't handle the standards?:
    If for any reason at all you find that you cannot handle these standards, please do not apply. As well if you are already on the team but time has become difficult for you let us know that you would like to step down from being a staff member. (However you wont be reinstated in the too nearby future). I understand this may be tough for some of you, but our staff system has changed, and we now have standards on the server that must be followed. If you cant handle them it is no shame in stepping down from the staff team as many of us I'm sure have busy lives as well.

    Rank Level Requirements

    All Staff:
    - Online time.
    - EcoCityCraft server spirit!
    - In-Game moderation and help.
    - Forum moderation and help.
    - Attend to the ban appeals and complaints forum in a professional manner.

    Moderators:
    - Follow our "All Staff" requirements.
    - Assist/Respond to Help/Support threads immediately as they appear.

    SuperMods:
    - Follow our "All Staff" requirements.
    - Attend to the Staff Requests forum.
    - Attend to the Grief Reports forum.
    - Please assist us with the Moderator specific requirements if you have time available and wish to do so.

    GameAdmins:
    - Follow our "All Staff" requirements.
    - Attend to the entire Application forum.
    - Attend to the Staff Requests forum for trade sign removals.
    - Please assist us with the Moderator and SuperMod specific requirements if you have time available and wish to do so.

    Warning/Reminder:
    Do not do anything that you're not supposed to be doing in the administration control panel or with any of the commands/tools you have access to in and outside of the game. We have full administration logs and I will be reviewing them weekly to keep track of what is going on. If I find any sort of abuse or anyone doing something that is not outlined here which they should not be doing they will not only be demoted and removed from the staff team but absolutely perma-banned from the ECC server and community with no chance of appeal. Breach of trust to me is the worst offense possible.
