it is a very curious topic that seems to run through chat every couple of months.

I would love to go all the way back to oct 2018 and make it so people with prestige could only use it on stuff they obtained on their own (or just not via a chest shop).

they might have been an issue back a year ago but at this point they're the only chance a new player has at playing catch-up in a hyper inflated economy (which these shops didn't cause)

 

Yes they are bad for the economy, but they've been bad for such a long time that there's no longer any alternative to having them, else you'll create a massive divide between the new players / poor scrubs and the uber-elite super-rich.

They're bad and should never have been implemented, but because they've been implemented for so long, we can't just get rid of them. :I

 

While I agree they are bad for the economy. I also think they are a necessity at this point.

 

hot take but they aren't a necessity. Their removal would cause a very unstable economy in the immediate term but after that it would be healthier.
