The way I see it, companies are already sort-of an official thing. They have to abide by the rules and remain enforceable and you can build yourself a reputation and a client-base with good business practice and integrity. Most established companies are player-run and even have their own central threads to do business with in Classified & Ads. Though, If you mean something else by "official" then please elaborate.
like a companies section in the forums and you can create your own and customize it. a bit like the towns and nations section
ahhhhh hard to explain. i just mean by making it a fully official thing having companies that are made a real part of ecocity forums and like you can hire people on the official company forums and be able to give them a salary andd stuff thats officialy listed
I guess my thing is we pretty much have a system that mimics that, but its not anything that requires additions to the website, they just have to be within the rules. You can contract pretty much anything like that with a player provided its enforceable and legal. Salaries, hiring, paying people. It can all be done with well-done contracts.
I actually wouldn't mind if we added a subsection in the ad's for companys simply to make it easier to browse through just the companys
