Why not? Also 8 GB ram runs minecraft really good.

W8 is indeed terrible.

 

I have test ran Windows 8, it is like Xbox on a touchscreen UI with at least knowledge on how to get to the desktop (even a person who is 12 builds a computer) so it is highly not recommended that you get something better than this OSS, I run Windows 7 Home Premuim and it runs fine, professional has a few changes from home premium but windows 7 is by far the best OSS out there.

Get a hard connection... Wifi is too slow. I even connect my laptop to the wire every now and then.

 

Its good on a tablet, for a pc to be used for gaming it is the worst decision possible, so buggy :/

 

It actually isn't that buggy, windows 8 actually uses the gpu more efficiently and gives you an average up to 5 fps higher, and there are still plenty of small tweaks applied to win 8 (make sure you update your windows regularly), not to mention there will be a big update to win8 in the near future (next year), service packs are on their way.

 

I have windows 8 and love it. Start-up times for me have nearly halved, I play loads of games from tf2 to black ops 2 with no problem. There are very few bugs, but there are very few benefits other than what I have mentioned above.

 

Please at least give a reason why windows 7 is the best.

Regarding your build, diesel, for gaming a Intel CPU is what you really should get if you can stretch your budget a little. You may want to consider changing your motherboard to something cheaper as the money saved can be used elsewhere. The idea tends to be not to skimp on your CPU so look around the $150 range if you can. i5's are great for gaming. You don't need more than 8GB of RAM unless you plan on doing video editing (lots of it) or other memory intensive tasks.

If I were you I would throw in a SSD and put the OS on it. Believe me its worth it :)
