I believe warnings reset every month
we shouldn't do that, because it allows people to get their 2 "free" warnings every month
if we don't have them reset, people will actually get banned when they break rules +1

 

I like your idea. However I'd prefer a bimonthly reset.

 

You mean you suggest to replace the forum warning to forum bans?

 

I fear that it will not guarantee effectiveness against those who appeal during the time when he is not allowed to appeal by means of hard bargain. D:

Personally I agree with you. There is really no point in forum warnings and as dccciz said, there is that "2 free warns a month" idea. I think that we should change the system so that you instantly get an hour forum ban, then 2 hours then 24 hours and this resets every two months, not one.

I see. You mean if a certain users appeals during the time when he is forbidden to appeal the ban, will he be temp-banned from this forum?

I doubt any one would violate every single rule in one post, it would have to be a long post lol. But yes, first time offences as well, rules are rules

My suggestion...
1. Less warning resets.
2. Increase the punishments for accumulating points.

As said, 2 free warns each month. Also, up to 5 if you are willing to get a 24h ban from 3. (Not sure whether the tempban increases for 6.)

 

Here's how I think forum situations should be handled:

In the appeals/complaint system:
Offenses count for 3x warning points (meaning you get whatever your next tempban is, be it 1, 7 or 14 days).
Rest of forums:
Keep it the same.

Outside of the ban appeals/complaints section warnings do tend to be effective.

Actually, for me it's a 5 free warnings per month system, since the 1-day forum ban doesn't do sh*t.
