I've always wondered if ECC has any car guys/girls. I never thought to post it, for some strange reason. Anyway, why don't we start this thread off with a picture of my car? '97 Subaru Impreza 5 speed with the 2.2 liter boxer, of course. I also put in a Kenwood KDC-255u. My future plans are to paint the intake and wheels a darker gold, and to buy a hood with a hood scoop and paint the insert of the hood scoop gold also. After that, it will be various performance upgrades, and if I really go through with it, it'll be turbocharged by the end of summer; but who knows if I'll stop being lazy and actually do it.
Not sure if it's such a great idea to spend so much money on additions to a nearly twenty year old car.
This is a nearly 50 year old car. It's in better shape than most of the cars built in the past 5 years. It's all about maintenance. If you take care of your car and keep up on the maintenance, it will last as long as you want it to. When something breaks, fix it.
I'm a German car guy. I've worked for VW/Audi for about 11 years so I guess you could say I'm a car enthusiast.
Really into BMWs right now, would love an E39 M5 or an E46/E90 M3. My car is a 2002 Subaru Outback with a 5 speed manual and my dad has a 2001 Mercedes E55 AMG and a 2007 Chrysler 300 SRT8. Of course I won't have these any time soon, but my dream cars are a 2001 Lambourghini Diablo or a 1997 Porsche Turbo S.
Here's my baby, I plan on getting it repainted and completely redone on the inside. It's a 72 VW Beetle that still runs like it should. I'm thinking a maybe white and blue color with matching interior...

I (well my dad, I'm not old enough to have a car) has a 1969 thunderbird. I love it and I would post pics but it's in the shop :/
