Edit: I think you should get an option of paying to open an account or choosing halved interest. A freebie rate if you will. IRL I've never heard of a payed for savings account except for fees for not using it or writing bounced checks. As this is more of a loan place you're making cash anyway.

The deposit seems like a good idea however you should keep cost to open a deposit to amount deposited a constant rate. Imagine a rich user deposits 1 million. It's still 12k to open the account and you have to give him 5k per day. Just saying maybe have a equation like

(Account opening cost) = (Deposit amount) / 5

If someone deposits 75k, they give 15k.
If someone deposits 1 million, they give 200k.

This seems more fair as people will be pay off opening account cost in 40 days of interest.
Doing this would keep you from getting put in a hole you can't dig yourself out off. Also that 40 days will allow you to loan off the money received for opening a account and will allow you to continue pay the interest.
