    With the new update, I have heard rumors that the ECC map is refreshing, so there will be no towns, and just be a pure new land.
    Andrew or mod, please don't let this happen, I am fine with a map refresh, but save the towns please, a lot of effort is needed to make a town, and I would personally be very upset :cry: as would many other people to lose what they have put lots of money and time in.
    Please consider if the rumors are true please SAVE THE TOWNS

    I am 99% sure this wont happen. Andrew is very against this except in the case of severe server issues. I wouldn't worry :p

    Andrew has stated in the past that under the circumstance that we would need a map reset, that the entire server would be reset, but this would only happen under extreme circumstances

    The way it currently looks, if needed the map will be expanded. Whats the purpose, though, of expanding the map if the only use for emeralds is trading with villagers who don't exist because they've all been killed? The other additions, desert villages and temples, are only short term additions because they'll be raided and destroyed in a matter of seconds.

    If anything, any new materials can be spawned as part of a biome in our mining world that regularly resets anyway.
