As some of may or may not know there is a small piece of software that allows people from all over the globe to contribute to protein folding which assists in discovering cures for things such as Parkinson or Huntington disease and many more, the two I named before are not nice illness to live with and are usually genetic. I will not go into detail on what they do, but you as a regular user can contribute to the cause of finding a cure for these by downloading a small piece of software called Folding At Home which uses distributed computers all over the globe to solve complex proteins and help biologists understand them. With Folding At Home you can contribute to this and collect points which varies on how much you fold and can be gathered using a score board and then ranking players or teams by who is winning, After folding my self and after doing some research i decided to start our own Ecocitycraft team in which we can fold and help in finding cure to these diseases and illnesses. setting it up is simple and is show below in a step by step tutorial. Each week I will pick 3 members at random from the list of donors with the first week being people who are the highest but then just anybody after that, I will send you a forum pm and post the winners in this thread where you can find out how much you have won with the highest being 3k and the lowest being $500. you can do your own research if you want but it is software used by millions of people all over the world to help support a cause. my skin is there because i support internet freedom and freedom of infomation.

So...this uses your computer power to run research in the background? Basically if theres a hundred people using this all their computer power will be used for research ect? 100 computers working at once?
I don't understand the question but it only uses spare power so if you AFK then it works faster than if you are running mc.

Yes that's what it does. It also has a scoring system that allows people to compete with others from around the world using points for each task completed.
No you are just contributing to the same cause just more than some people. The prizes I give out are chosen at random each Sunday and have nothing to do with who has the better computer
Yea folding is still around and has been for awhile. I just thought this is another way to get our community involved.
