I believe shears go a tiny bit faster than a pick on melons, might want to test both eff7 and eff10 on them to see if that rumor is true.

They don't go faster, it's nothing but a silly rumor.

 

Maybe cheaper than a EFF7 tool since I doubt this would help with any farming.

I have to -1 the suggestion, for this reason alone:

Faster breakage of cobwebs will do nothing but lower their server selling cost. I, personally, like where their cost is, I farm them quite often, and I would stop harvesting cobwebs if their prices dropped to $1/web or something.

PostScript: Not everything has to be instabreak. Hasn't everyone learned enough from the Eff VII picks. Stop with the Eff XX+ stuff already. Please. Let's keep some items above $0.05/item.

If I had realized the damage of Eff 5's and 7's beforehand, I would have been against them. Faster tools make it harder for new players to make money or get going. They also dilute prices like horrible.
