That's just the blanket term for things that color I believe. Like if I sold green dye, I believe it would say the same item. In addition, you can make cocoa beans I believe with an ink sac + orange dye.
The reason is because the dyes are stored in one ID with multiple meta-ID's. And ink sacs are simply the ones it starts with, Meta-ID 0. (IIRC).
