Anyone can apply for the chance to become a presidential candidate. The current congress will select 2-5 players who will compete in the final democratic election. You and your ministers will on your won mange the nation over 5 week period, before a new election will take place. If elected president, you can take with you upto 4 assistants of your choice. One of them would be the Vice President, and the other 3 ministers. There aren't any requirements to apply other than being at least ranked resident. Once elected there are some requirements we expect you to follow. You must be active working on the nation in your period, and we expect you to run the nation with care and best intentions. As the president, you will be required to be based in the Presidential residence for the period in office. The congress has the right to (in extreme cases) override your decision for the nation, and remove you from the position if needed. The job is not paid, but you can expect an ECD bonus if the congress feel you have done a good job. The nation of Foix's vision is to help new and old players, and you apply for presidency because you want to do a good job helping players. Current situation in Foix:-Big potential for population growth -Want to increase holding of national vault -Congress wants the town to be modernized and expanded into an already flattened area. -Congress likes the idea of making a builder friendly town (to raise server count) National Vault: The nation of Foix has its own national vault. All town related income and expenses are put into the vault, and written down. As president, you get access to the vault and get to use it towards the town. But its expected that the vault increases in value during your presidency. In other words, economical growth. Rank: Resident Agenot telling) I know that Foix is a great town and has lots of potential as a town with the right president. Also Home to ECCCasino. I want to be the next president because I will make good changes to the town and make smart choices with the vice president's help. I will also choose carefully on my ministers. Foix is a great town already but, adding more plots and getting rid of some weird/unneeded buildings, Foix will be an even better town. In my 1 month term I will demo and build things such as landmarks and make Foix more appealing to the eye so many people will seek a house in Foix. You can expect the truth careful listening and hard work from me. I expect the truth and suggestions from congress. I will choose @Captain_Death_33 as vice president. I want to also be a part of a governing body of a great nation. I also want to be able to see the economy grown and thrive. What do you think is important focusing on, making Foix a better town?: I think to make Foix better we need to draw permanent residents. Not have a town where we sell plots to people that will quit one week later. I'm not saying that we shouldn't be builder-friendly, but we should be sure that we are getting permanent residents that help the town and that are active and that are willing to help and build our community as a whole. Not being toxic and generally trolling residents of the nation and town. What will you do in your one month period?: I will make sure our national vault grows and the economy flourishes. I will expand the towns if necessary as we have a growing population. Getting near my goal as president if need be I can possibly add another town with the consent of the neighboring town's mayors of course. I will also try to achieve a friendly community to where residents will go outside and talk with each other. I would also like to expand our public farms to attract newer players with benefits. Maybe even add an insurance policy for players. Possibly, set up opinion polls from residents. What can we expect from you?: You can expect fast results and bold honesty. I will not sweet coat or tell you what you want to hear. I will tell you the straight truth. I will also reach out to Congress members and advisors when needed. You can expect me to use them frequently as I like for everyone to have an opinion(Voting). Additionally, you should expect a respectful president that can get the job done efficiently, that is productive, and that is not afraid to get dirty when it comes to handling matters. Finally, you should expect someone that might not know everything in one field but some in all, and that can learn quickly and get it down right. What do you expect from the Congress (if anything)?: I expect the Congress to helpful, but also give lots of constructive criticism as I know I am not now 100% perfect, but I can grow into that role as soon as I am exposed to something new. I also expect conflicting opinions from them and advisors. I know I can help reach a compromise that everyone is happy with efficiency. I indeed expect them to also challenge some decisions, but I am sure it is nothing we can all resolve peacefully with no hostility. The ECC casino brings in thousands of dollars a day. Foix also has one of the biggest population of any town and nation. Why do you want to become Foix next president?: I want to president of Foix so i can implement my 5-point program : 1) The builder-resident program : The builder-resident program offers cheap plots and discounted basic resources to builders and residents. By doing this, builders and residents have a steady start to ecc life. 2) Renovation and reconstruction : Complete any incomplete buildings and use empty areas to build new buildings. 3) Population improvement : Offer houses and plots to players of higher ranks. This may not be their primary home but their investment in foix's real-estate will increase the in-town population and the money from the sales will allow further developments. 4) Event introduction : A large area will be designated to building an events area. inside the events area will be a spleef arena, a multi-purpose ice rink, etc. 5) Nation expansion : After completing the first 4 points I will expand foix by purchasing more towns. This allows more construction to undergo plus allows more land to further my builders-residents program. Hopefully the B-R project will increase Ecc population, meaning the project can continue to grow. What do you think is important focusing on, making Foix a better town?: Improving town population as well as town construction is a priority. Ive visited Foix multiple towns and there is many incomplete buildings. Completing them is a necessity if we want to make Foix great again! What will you do in your one month period? What can we expect from you?: A very active president who will, at the least, start the 5-point program. Im hoping, if im elected in the first place, to be re-elected so i can continue to build my program. Expect full transparency. I want to hear what they want to happen to foix and i want to use that to further improve Foix. I expect full honosty from congress on how I am doing my job. I am planning later to scout out the more rural areas of the nation. Why do you want to become Foix next president?: To help this great nation improve its population and funds. What do you think is important focusing on, making Foix a better town?: I think that developing the town with great buildings to benefit the older players on the server. What will you do in your one month period?: I will do manual labor and building in the flat areas of the town. I will also help increase population and making it more builder friendly. During my time I learned the city layout and got to know the people I work with. I know what needs to be finished (*cough cough, @appleprocucling*) and what is ready to use. I discovered the weak and strong parts of Foix, and most importantly I got plenty of experience. Why do you want to become Foix next president?: I did it once, and I believe I can do a lot more in a second term, especially after getting to know the nation. What do you think is important focusing on, making Foix a better town?: First of all, I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to finish projects. Imagine somebody comes to your town looking for a house to buy and see something they like, but whoops, the roof isn't finished. That is not good for business. If you need to sell something it should be ready 100%. What will you do in your one month period?: Second of all, Foix needs to be more unified. The amount of different pathways conflicting with each other is something. It would be a great help and maybe even save space for the town. Third of all, Foix should be more up to date. Many buildings in Foix have been built long ago (and still not finished), and just look too outdated now. I see many projects in Foix that could be redone into great things. I suggest giving them a new life. Spoiler: Take A Look These townhouses look so oldschool. Seaview apartments deserve better. Now seeing as everyone here suggest expanding Foix, allow me to explain why I don't believe in that. Don't get me wrong, Foix is a great place, but it is in no circumstance a finished nation. I believe you should finish what you start, and only upon completion seek new projects. What can we expect from you?: Commitment and pursuit of my goals to make Foix great again.
