There were 9 cities waiting for the last year to find out if they were going to be selected for Google Fiber's next expansion wave. Today, 4 of those 9 were announced as "The Chosen"

Raleigh - Durham, NC
Charlotte, NC
Nashville, TN
I don't know when their services will be available or even when they will get started. I just know that TWC and Comcast can bite me as soon as the Google trucks start showing up in my neighborhood >:}
To those that live in one of these four areas, congrats!
To those who don't (and don't live in Kansas City, Austin, or Provo), my condolences and hopes for your future.
