Have you made any changes to your Minecraft client recently, mods etc?
Best try first reinstalling client after removing existing one, as server is up with players, issue "may" be on your client side. -

The easiest thing I would suggest is reinstalling your clean MC client entirely. Try that, see what happens.
You may want to backup (copy/paste) your screenshots folder somewhere else before you reinstall minecraft, and you may want to write down the server address details so you can easily re-enter it later. -

@ThatKidArshi do you have a stable internet connection? This is related to that issue. Are you connected to wifi? If so try connecting via ethernet. Sometimes your internet drops the packets it sends to the server and thus you cannot login.
EDIT: Do you use a firewall?? If so what kind? It's possible the firewall has blocked java and minecraft from connecting to the internet -

Yes try turning off your internet on yoru computer and then turning it back on. Also if you have a router there should be 4 ports on the back of your router that are labeled 1, 2, 3, 4 respectfully also do you have a firewall? What kind?

Well first let's start with this question. do you use a antivirus program? If so what type? (ie. avast, bitdefender,AVG, norton, webroot etc.)

Ok so this is what we are going to do ok? I'm going to walk you through it one by one ok? I use a different program on my computer and I don't have screen shots but I will do my best to walk you through it
- Bring up your AVG dashboard. This can be accomplished via the bottom right corner of your screen. You will see a little up arrow. Click that and you should see AVG. Right click and select show AVG.
- Double-click the Resident Shield component.
- Click the Anti-Virus component.
- In the newly opened dialog, please click either the Add Path or the Add File button to add the needed exception.
- Now from here you need to find your minecraft.exe this is usually where you will click to start minecraft as it self. However if you created a desktop shortcut you need to right click on that shortcut and click open file location, this is where it really is.
- Select the file you want to add to the exception list.
- make sure you click Ok to finalize your changes.
- Bring up your AVG dashboard. This can be accomplished via the bottom right corner of your screen. You will see a little up arrow. Click that and you should see AVG. Right click and select show AVG.

Ok let's try a different approach here. When you go to log into Minecraft do you get a pop up from AVG about minecraft? If you do click ignore and it should let you in.

Here is a list of things to do with AVG Free:
Open the AVG user interface...
Click Tools->Advance Settings...
Click Resident Shield->Exceptions...
The Add the program (or file, directory) you wish to be excluded from scans... -
