Um, a lot of the horses you will find will probably be locked up in old legacy towns. And I'm not sure trying to take horses from towns is completely legal so...

 

So what this is pretty much you stealing other people's horses? Not cool

 

Clause 1 - Griefing
Grief is defined as breaking or destroying things that do not belong to you, including breaking and replacing things to get to places that otherwise you shouldn't be going (for example, breaking into someone's house.) This can also extend to building things in areas that do not belong to you.
Grief is not allowed in protected towns, unless the town owner has decided otherwise. In the event a grief occurs in a non-grief town then a grief report can be filed here: Grief Report and Rollback Request

• If a town allows grief then all residents must be informed before joining the town.
• When a grief report is filed, grief is graded on a sliding scale of minor/moderate/major based on the amount and severity of damage done, and is determined based on staff guidelines by the staff member investigating the situation. It is also determined at that time whether the grief is bad enough to warrant a rollback.
• Grief in the wild is frowned upon, but allowed. Staff will not take any action in the case of wild grief.
• Please see Section 7 for rules regarding grief in the Aether, Nether and Mining World.

If this rule only applies to blocks then there is this rule:

Clause 4 - Theft and Safety

• • It is your responsibility to ensure your items remain in your possession.
    • This can be done by keeping items on your person, in an enderchest, or in chests LWC-Protected to yourself.
  • It is legal to take from unlocked chests.
  • If you modify someone else to allow them access to a chest, they are allowed to take any of the contents unless it is part of an agreement or contract. Be cautious when allowing others access to your chests.
  • We offer the ability to set 'ownership' of items. See Section 3, Clause 6 for more details.
  • Compensation will not be offered for lost items.

If this rule only applies to items then it should come under this rule:

Clause 4 - Common Sense and Bending the Rules

• While this is a gaming environment, EcoCityCraft is also a very large community. As such, we expect that all players use their common sense. Be a good sport and a friendly community member.
• Common sense extends to not bending the rules. Bending the rules constitutes as very severe trolling, and is not tolerated in any form.
• Encouraging others to break the rules is not using your common sense.
• Interrupting or stealing items from server events is not using your common sense.
• Finding ways around the rules is punishable at administration’s discretion, from warnings all the way up to bans. Please see EcoCityCraft's General Disclaimer for more information.
• If you feel like a rule has a loophole or a way that it could be used to be trolly, we encourage use of our suggestions forum or contacting the administration directly in order to take a look at the rules that may need to be changed.

If none of the above rules apply, then, unless any member of the H.R.S. isn't trying to steal from me/the members of my town, I do not allow you to be in my town. (I have nothing against you or Coolslammer/any future member of the H.R.S.).

Clause 3.1 - Trespassing

• • If a town owner asks you to leave their region for any reason and you are not a member of the region, you must comply with their request. You may not return to this region unless the applicant owner or the owner who has asked you to leave permits you to do so, by any means, including setting homes in the region (please see Section 8 Clause 4.)

 

Please explain how you will get the horse/s out of the "very small cages." ?
(without breaking a rule (I really don't see a way.)

also please re-read my first comment. (especially the end, I am not allowing you to be in my town unless you aren't stealing my horse).

If I may say something about the server rules and my interpretation of them here...

• Horses are not items.
• They are not blocks, either.
• Stealing them is (at least according to my knowledge) nowhere mentioned in the rules.
• Because of this, I would interprete it is not illegal to steal them.
• This, however, does NOT mean that it is nice to do so in any possible way.
  
• In most cases, horses are secured in buildings that would requre illegal grief to get to them.
  
• Other players have spent a lot of EcoDollars on horse [eggs] and it would be unfair to steal their indirect property.

That being said, I don't see the purpose in stealing horses from players who legally bought them.

 

All the horses at ChestnutRidge and HorseIsle are safe so please don't come to us saying that they are mistreated and locked up. @drewbo173 @lexi731rocs even tho this is a ok idea... People pay money for horse eggs and how do you know that the horse isn't ridden all the time and taken care of? -1 how would you feel if all the sudden one day your best friend was taken away from you forever that you paid money for?
