I am making this short tutorial because Skwisgaar1991, Jason1964 and o_Hades_o all asked me how to make money. They thought it would be funny because I offered someone who was begging advice on how to make money, so they proceeded by pming me asking for help also. To get some money to start of with the best thing to do is vote. Go to ecocitycraft.com/vote to find the links to the voting sites. Then you must sell the nether stars you receive from voting. There are two ways of selling them. You can either sell them to the server via "/sell nstar" for $150 each or sell them to other players. To advertise the fact that you are selling nether stars go into trade chat accessed via "/ch tr". Adverts must be at least 3 minutes apart otherwise it can be considered spamming. You can also navigate to the market by going through the diamond portal. There you will find multiple shops buying nether stars. There are two main ways of earning money. 1. Mining 2. Farming You also have less popular ways of making money. 1. Brewing potions. 2. Farming exp. 3. Buying and selling (sometimes using a spawnshop). All of these methods have their pros and cons. Some require more money to start of, others don't earn you as much money. Main ways of Earning Money Mining and Farming are considered the best ways of earning money. This is because they are reliable and earn you a fair amount of money per hour. Mining Mining is best done with an eff 7 pick but those are around 500k and so not an option for many. The best tool other than an eff 7 pick is an eff 5 fort 3 ubr 3 pick. Mining can net you anywhere between 10k and 20k per hour. Mining offers excitement and change, but can also be dangerous. This is why I suggest investing in protection 4 diamond armour or fire protection 4. Feather falling 4 is definitely a good thing to have on your boots. These things will protect you from lava and falling. Since all these tools and armor will set you back around 15k to 20k, I suggest you start of by purchasing cheaper tools. You can also obtain tools by contacting KMaxwell who runs the charity freecycle. Farming There are many crops you can farm. The most popular being pumpkins. The best tool is an eff 5 ubr 3 axe, sometimes referred to as a pumpkin axe. These are obtainable for 5k. You must then acquire permissions to a farm, 10k should give you access to a decently sized one. Earning money to buy perms and a pumpkin axe can be hard so other than voting how do you earn the money? Well the best way is to ask in trade chat for people offering farming jobs. They will often provide you with a farm and a tool. They will then ask you to sell them the crops for a little less than they are worth. You can also farm other crops such as wheat, potatoes and carrots which are much cheaper to start of with but earn you a little less money per hour. Melons earn you the most money per hour but require the purchase of a Melon sword (an eff 5 silk 1 diamond sword) to farm then efficiently.
