How To Make Money
**This thread is dedicated to builders, but applies to everyone!**
Mining (5-25k/hr)
Mining is one of the easiest ways to make money on EcoCityCraft.
All you need is a good pickaxe, food, armor, and you're all set
to go! Gear up and do /warp mining to be teleported into the mining
world. There, you can mine for ores and sell them using /sell hand!
If you have a max pickaxe (Efficiency V, Fortune III, Unbreaking III)
you can mine in caves to collect ores quickly. You can make around
10k/hr doing that. If you use an Eff7 Pickaxe, you can mine very fast
and collect ores at a fast pace. I recommend mining on y11 if you are
using one. They cost around 1.2 million, so I suggest renting one from
someone until you can afford your own.
Farming (5-17k/hr)
Farming can make you quite a lot of money, if you have the right tools.
If you are starting out, you probably don't own an expensive tool like
a melon sword. Just get a diamond axe, and buy perms at a good
cocoa farm. You can ask for them in "/ch tr". Once you get perms,
just farm cocoa beans and sell them using /sell hand. It's a good way
to make money when you're starting out.
Melon farming makes a lot more. To make it worth your while, you need
a melon sword (costs about 1 million). I wouldn't start melon farming
right away unless you can rent one out. Do keep in mind that players
only rent "star tools" to trusted players, so it's not the best way to start
off if you're new.
Fishing (5-17k/hr)
Fishing is a decent way to make money if you have the right fishing rod.
You can buy a max rod from other players for around 13k, and use it to
fish. You can /sell hand all of the fish you get. The best place to fish is at
a fishing table, which you can find at towns and more. Here is a fishing
guide made by Mission001: Click Here
Fishing with a star rod can make you around 7k/hr, but they cost around
700k. Renting one isn't really worth it, since it usually costs 5k and you'll
only make a 2k profit in one hour.
Chorus Farming (0-60k/hr)
Chorus fruit farming is a very dangerous way to make money on the server,
but it can be very rewarding. You'll need end perms to go into the End to farm
chorus fruits, which will cost you 20k. In the End, PVP is enabled. That means
players can kill you and take all your stuff. The End is also unprotected, which
means people can grief your farms and you'll lose all your work. Building a
good farm can take several hours, but once you get set up, you can make
a lot of money. If you are interested about chorus farming, check out this
tutorial I made: Click Here
Stations (Offline Income)
What is a Station? It is a space you can rent from the server for 5k/week,
where you can build a shop and sell items to other players. The station
is located at the market, which has quite a lot of traffic. You can sell blocks,
items, and more to people in exchange for money through [Trade Signs].
You will need [Resident] to be able to place them, which costs 15k. You
can also buy stuff at your Station, and sell it to other players for more
money. I only recommend renting one out if you know how to properly
run one. It's hard to teach people how to run a good station and make
tons of money. If it were that easy, everyone would be doing it. Sadly,
some stations make a ton of profit, and others fail and you could lose
some money. It's something you have to experiment with, and if you know
what you're doing, you could make a lot of money while you're away.
You can advertise your station in "/ch tr" and get people to warp there. Each
station has an individual warp, so it's easy to get people there if your ad
stands out and interests other players. Here are two examples of ads:
What NOT to do:
"come to my station and sell your nstars for 550"
What to do:
"Why sell nstars for cheap when you can sell them for
$550 each at /warp Station36? Come today!"
Loaning (10-100k Interest)
You can make money on EcoCityCraft by loaning money to other players,
and collecting interest. For example: I give someone a 100k loan, and they
have to pay me back 125k by next week. That's making 25k in one week!
It might not seem like a lot, because you can make that much in a day, but
it is some money. If you have a lot of money sitting around, and nothing to
do with it, use it to make more money! It requires not much work to loan
money out to other players.
WARNING!
Before loaning money to a player, make sure you trust them! Some people
take out loans and never pay them back. If someone does that, you can file
a complaint on them and they will be forced to pay back the money, or they
will be banned. However, make sure you make a contract before loaning
to someone, or do a contract in chat by taking screenshots. The mods can not
do anything about loan scams unless they have evidence that you loaned the
player money in the first place! Here is a good example of what a good loan
contract looks like: Click Here
Conclusion
Thanks for reading this basic tutorial on how to make money on EcoCityCraft!
Yeah, I know there are other ways to make money out there, but I'm going
over the basic ones in this thread. If you want me to add something, feel free
to drop a comment and I'll see if it's worth adding!

Thanks for the advice xD

I'd be interested to know what I can expect to earn with a max (not star) tool farming the various crops. For example, if go make a max melon sword could expect to exceed my 10k/hr mining income?

DonaldTrump9 Former President of ECCResident ⛰️ Ex-EcoMaster ⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️ Premium UpgradeThe best crop to farm would be cocoa, because it makes the most for the least expensive tool (plain diamond axe). There are no other ways to farm melons unless you have a melon sword, so melons aren't good for starting off. Pumpkin farming can make around the same amount as cocoa, but you need a pumpkin axe (12k).
