Minecraft Name: @lambielove Suggestion: Recently my animals were killed in a grief in Lurxburg. One of them was a tamed namtaged wolf, which is a rather expensive animal. I asked staff if I could ask for rollback, but they said the animals were not tracked and could not be rollbacks. I suggest adding the MobStack plug in to prevent this, since mobs are rare in ECC. I also suggest making it illegal to kill animals in a protected area that is nametaged. Reason: My animals were killed, and I found it weird I couldn’t rollback it. Any Other Information: N/A. I do think this will solve a lot of issues with griefing and help prevent animal killing. Link To This Plugin: https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/mobstacker.15596/
I checked the feature list... ignoring the fact that it's not updated for 1.12, I also can't find any feature on this plugin's page that does what you are suggesting. I know that LogBlock can show kills, but I don't know whether it's limited to player kills or also mob kills - so I can't say whether or not mobs could be rolled back. However, if it's not possible, the 'easiest' way of tracking mob kills would be to completely replace LogBlock with a different plugin.
I still do think that animals and other entities should be tracked, to prevent killings and loss of property. I'm finding it hard to get an updated mob tracker, but I am looking into it.
I dont think animals are/can be in rollbacks. Its just not possible I dont think. The only way this could work is if SA's provide new animals to the owner of the lost animal, and I dont think SA's can even spawn things in.
It’s just that rollbacks don’t give back animals that are rare like polar bears or wolfs. If blocks can be given, then animal spawn eggs should too. Or at least you should receive money to get another spawn animal.
But as said before, I dont think SA's can spawn in eggs or money iirc. This would require andrew to do all the rollbacks, and andrew is a busy man.
-1 For reasons said before. It would be nice, but just isn't possible. Dont want your polar bears killed? Choose your town members wisely then../
No. Spawned animals are much cheaper than spawn eggs; there should never ever be a way to convert less valuable mobs to more valuable spawn eggs. However, it's not possible to set a definitive /worth for animals. Spawned animals can cost less (or are sometimes even free) because they need to be transported across hundreds or thousands of blocks while spawn eggs are a lot more expensive. Also, I'd like to point out that reimbursement for killed animals could be abused - if we were to price rare mobs (e.g. horses) at, say, $10k due to their high egg price, I could wait until a group of horses spawns outside of my town, lure them in and have someone else kill them. The player who killed them wouldn't have to appeal the ban if the grief was too minor and I'd earn 30-40k. ^
Wait. @314 @lambielove It is possible for ecc to roll back animals. They just choose not to. If they used CoreProtect instead of logblock, then they could rollback animals, things taken from chests, and more. But the dev team choose not to. God only knows why. So, i am changing my rating to +1
I'm confused. Are you saying that another plugin could do this or that the plugin ECC uses could do this?
