SUGGESTION: Beauty of your city/ area/ whatnot: Showing off the area/ city you live in with your own pictures and this one has 24 - 48 hours before choosing the winners to make sure more people can show off what their area looks like. I believe this would help bring the community together as each of us would see a glimpse of life from other perspectives.

EDIT: And as a side note, I'd love to see more from this community as I love the idea of going around the world seeing how other people live and what it's like for them on a daily basis

No. That's giving people (1) an easy copy/paste off of Google images, (2) a huge advantage if you happen to be rich and live in nice areas of town and (3) an easy way for internet stalkers to track you down. Not to sound scary, but posting a picture of your house on an Internet forum makes it easy for pretty much anyone to find out exactly where you live. And, you know, that could lead to, um, very bad things. This is the internet.
