Everyone who wants to invest in my horse races ends up asking the same questions. This thread is meant to answer all these questions preemptively so I don't have to do it over and over. "What is the money used for?" The money is used for purchasing of materials and services to start up the races. "When will the races be open/are they ready?" We estimate an opening day in the range of July 15-20th. "How do I (the investor) make money?" Let's say players invest 150k, and you invested 10k. You have invested 6 2/3% of the total investment. Whenever the establishment makes a profit, we take what we currently estimate to be 20% for salaries and upkeep, and the rest of the 80% of profit is divided among the investors, based on how much they invested. If we make a 20k profit one event, we take 4k, and we send you 6 2/3% of 16k, around $1060. If you invest more, your dividends are more. "Do I get my money back?" We plan to allow investors to eventually withdraw their money. This, however, depends on the success of the business. Horses seem popular, so we expect to succeed. After we are set up and conducting business, we will accept no more investments. If you withdraw your money, you cannot put it back. "How much should I invest?" As much as you think prudent.
